Hmmm. Who was it that said I was incorrect in thinking Ferrari reads these threads and that opinions were only really harvested from certain buyers? If you feel passionate about making a point then you should. Works for more than just FChat!
I've got to say these pictures make the car look even sexier than the renders they released. The roof line really appears to swoop down in the back. It looks awesome.
I like the placement of the horn...where it should be...on the center...perhaps people grousing about that made a difference.
Feel sorry we did not meet at the event. I was very happy for Fchat and Camlet1 when I saw this quote. Great promotion for a very good forum. I liked the car. Yes it's not a new model but there are a lot of changes which justify the upgrade. Styling wise I liked the front hood. It has an area pressed down. As it was described it is to show that the engine is located low and therefor the car has low center of gravity. I found this detail very nice looking. A few observations. Blue leather in white car looked really great. I also liked new cognac leather color which was introduced specifically with this car. The improvement of 4wd system seems quite extensive. I like this. One thing I will note though is that the system is still working in first four gears. In higher gears it's off. I hoped the system will work in 5th. The luggage area seemed to me the same in size as in my current FF. So to conclude - I liked the car very much.
Two more things. Ferrari shown a slide today saying that FF is the most driven Ferrari (obvious but still) and that 60% of the time it's driven with three or more passengers inside (I wonder how they found out that). I found these figures very interesting. Second. The passenger display is now very interactive and quite large. Includes ability to change (among other things) navigation eg add a point of interest as intermediate travel target. Although I am not a fan of this the passenger display looked cool. Finally the main system display looked very nice and modern. As I understand stereo will be standard and optional upgrade. Glass roof is an option not standard.
I liked them all - white wasn't my favorite on the FF, but it looked great here. Same with the Red presented. I think the revised sheet metal makes for a sleeker car, opening up the possibility of bolder colors (both of my FFs were Silverstone, but would consider a red this time around)
I am sorry if I offend someone with this: But I stil have problems with this design - it start to look more Corvette than ever - and rear is like a C300 wagon. Have Ferrari hired US designers or what is going on?
Every new car Ferrari comes up with, someone inevitably pops up as says it looks like a corvette. Really?
The release photos from last week left me with the thought of a shooting brake vette, but it was much better looking in person (and invalidated the initial impression)
Not what I call good news ... confirms my fears. The car looks like idea pieces from a chat forum want list, not a work of art that is complete and has integrity. The dash and wheel could have been done by anyone. Really not elegant at all. I could go on and on with the lack of flow here. They need to have more design integrity (and better PR writers) than to listen to fanboys on Fchat.
So, just to be clear, Brian ... You DON'T like the new model? Wasn't sure ... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
We easily have had 2+ passengers probably for 80% of our miles (and 99% of the time, it was one of our daughters). Ferrari did an owners survey not long ago (past year?) about usage patterns; eg. how often do you drive in rain? in snow? use the folded seats? As I'm sure some who have attended these type of client/owner events, you also get a lot of questions asked. I got a sense for a while they were trying to figure out what, if anything, to do about fuel tank size since "how far do you drive, how often do you stop for fuel" was being asked!
Lol, my thoughts too. 550 apparently looked like a supra (still don't see it) 599 was a corvette (lol) F12 was a corvette (lol) Now the GTC4 is a corvette rolleyes apart from the cars having 2 doors, 4 wheels and an engine in front, the similarities end. Big engine up front = big bonnet, so all designs do have the shape in common (long bonnet, roof, short rear end). That's it...
Don't forget the TdF... This is the same thing every time. If it's not a Vette, it's dated or not enough "Ferrari" like. Eventually most warm up to the new cars.
I said that too when its in drop top form front view. Not sure that the pic is an actual ferrari design or a photoshop. No reason to get offended any more than I should when someone says my boxer is the magnum car....actually that hurts a little lol.
http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachments/ff-gtc4lusso-f12/2199151d1455585025-gtc4lusso-official-picture-thread-image.jpg Just looked at this picture of the steering wheel here ,and noticed the changes to the wheel much improved, with variable speed on intermittent wiper and the 2 central buttons for telephone Bluetooth and it looks like the other is voice command. So can somebody confirm if that is like the Siri of Apple CarPlay. And is the new car still using apple and Siri. Note. Nice to see they kept the bumpy road button for them smooth uk roads.
