Cool project to return it to original specification/colours, please keep us posted with some more pics☺! Having seen the car prior to it's actual restoration, 40080 had seen in past some restoration, the technic has been well cared for, the car was in a quiet good shape despite the fact, that the paint job was carried out in nero metalizzato (additionally in a quiet lausy way with a lot of overspray..��. As seen in some previous pictures, there was a rear wing mounted, which also had to came off. Finally, after a lot of discussions, LamboV8 decided to return the car to the specification, it left the factory. The car has always been in Europe all of it's live and was first registered in Rome, but it's been partly an US version of the Silhouette. During the restoration the car will receive the more pure style of the european versions, therefore no side markers. Other details like instruments where already european versions. Very happy, that parallel to Richard's RAME project another important Silhouette will return to it's original colour/interior combo...☺��! Saluti, Jürgen
Well I hadn't expected it to be 40080! You are to be commended on restoring it back to the original colour scheme and I can understand why you wish to remove the side markers as it was only ever used in Europe.

Oh yes the side markers are terrible. My Sil was delivered with the trim on the screen top, i saw it on the old holes and screws. Do you have pics and Details for my senape Interior?

Love that model since my childhood, so much underrated for a long time. Still remember the first time I saw one personally, I was 13/14 years old, it has been a white car with black interior. Please dont try to calculate the age....��. Always promised myself to buy one, missed the chance... Happy with my actual cars I still regret not to have been jumped on this Lamborghini instead another car. With this low production numbers and the optical appearance of the Silhouette it's still underrated. Saluti, Jürgen
The seats and door cars look correct but the dash board looks faded. This is pretty much how the dashboard should look apart from the single stitching around the instrument binnacle. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I now see that Pasini's Silhouette list has the interior colour of 40080 as nero. Pictures taken in 1993 show a nero colour scheme with grey seats with black central stripe...curious...
