The finish is different on my 95 side panels when compared to my 98 gts panels, and the one I bought for my 95 that was missing.

All three have a different finish.

I'm glad to hear that stripper is working for you - perhaps we should have tried it. I called the manufacture and they said in no way would it ever work on powdercoated parts. I wonder if later cars where sprayed verse power coat?

    Thank you for posting this.

What product did you use? I like the fine texture.

    Hi Jim,

I had these done by a local powder coat guy who is semi retiring. I don't know what he is using. He had show this to me when I first met him as he did Jeep bumpers with it and I liked it. All I know is it's a fine texture.

I let it dry and it peeled like an orange. Came off in sheets. Inside took two - three coats.

Nooks and crannies will take a brush & time.

    Looks pretty nice there Randy.
Did the stripper show any sign of etching the metal at all, or just attacked the coating?

What is the white material that is under the screens on the bottom of the airboxes? Anyone?

You're referring to the white fuzzy stuff, like from a furnace filter type media?
If so, I think it provides a little more trapment for moisture maybe, just evaporates without letting dust in.im pretty sure there's a couple tiny holes in the bottom of the cases. I cleaned the media with contact cleaner last year and reused.
