Has anyone had a problem with a low or dead battery causing multiple trouble codes. I got an E-Diff code and my mechanic plugged it into a SD-3 and 13 codes popped up. Checked the battery and it was close to dead. Just wondering if a bad battery could cause trouble codes. Thanks for any comments. Don Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes and it may take several cold starts for the computers to clear out the alarms. 360 is the next 275GTB
You've already got two affirmative answers to your query - how many more do you need ? If you still seek more reassurance you could take a look for all the other battery threads asking more or less the same question with more or less the same answer
I would like an answer that might provide a little insight from someone other than a SMART ASS NEVER HAVE SEEN A LIMIT ON POSTS *******
Yes, very low/near death batteries are a huge problem for the 430. Mine had all sorts of weird F1 issues (slipping clutch, jerky changes) as well as difficulty starting....all gone with a new battery. Just put in a new battery, cycle a few starts to clear out the bad codes, get yourself a good batt charger and always keep the car topped off. You will be amazed at the difference, unless of course, there are other more serious underlying issues. Since you know its near dead anyways, what do you have to lose? Good luck!
I don't think that was called for. You asked a very generic question - can a low battery pop out codes. You immediately received two answers saying, yes it's quite common. What more did you expect? If you had a question about specific codes, why didn't you ask it? If you were looking for a large sample poll, why not post one? You asked a question and got your answer. If you have another question, go ahead and ask. I'm sure plenty of folks here will be happy to help. Perhaps the response to your 'bump' was a little on the snarky side, but your response was over the top. Have you been abusing your medication?
Most cars will start to go crazy on near dead batteries. All sorts of things will appear broken on any car when the battery is starting to die. This is not unique to Ferrari. Just get a new battery. Have the dealer run the Ferrari drive cycle to get it reset back to proper state. It will still take several hundred miles to clear all the codes.
Thanks for those of you who attempted to shed some light on my situation, thanks a lot. For the other smart asses, keep your WORTHLESS **** to yourself.

I will say that it is very odd that your dealer didn't tell you that a low battery is a big issue with modern cars. They know that. If they didn't tell you, I would be actively looking for a new shop because I wouldn't trust them to fix ANYTHING on my car.
I am not responding to this ****ING post again. All it is, is a car, not a GOD That should stop the know it also.

GoFast, Who peed in your Cheerios this morning? You asked a question.....you got several answers from good guys, real car guys, trying to help. And for that you smart-mouth them!!! Makes us wonder if you really own that 430 or are just a Ferrari wannabe!
Gofast430 if you want people to respond to your requests politeness and graciousness goes a long way.
