Dear Guido, I assume because of your answer that the Porsche part number for the 348 boot is different than that which fits the Mondial?? Randall
The number porsche 90133229312 Fits: Porsche 911 1969-75 Porsche 911 TURBO 3.0/3.3L I dont know those diameters from this boot. The boot that fits mondial is Porsche 1984-1989 nr 92833292402. Diameters 68 mm and 28 mm. Fits also 328. See Dave gt4 article on Birdman webside. Guido
Are they really Fiat lights? If so do you have the reference? I would love to replace mine. One of them has been replaced but it is neither Ferrari nor Fiat. Any comments would be appreciated.
I think this thread applies to Mondial T. My power steering reservoir leaks and it seems the replacement is cheap and simple. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=292079
It was from some old Alfa and Fiat, common Fiat group part, sorry I do not remember. Few minute search; Alfa GTV6 1981-1986 and Alfa Spider 1983-1990 (Some one please comfirm those)
These look good but there is no idea of dimensions. I will inquire. http://www.classicalfa.com/products/LT055-Rear-number-plate-light-1983%252d89.html
I have found a source for braided oil lines. The part shown is the lower braided oil line from the engine to the oil cooler on a Mondial T. Any other braided oil line can be made. It looks good and the welds look OK. This example shown is with painted high carbon steel connectors and is $295. Stainless connectors are a bit more expensive. Another license plate light reference but again they are out of stock and therefore no dimensions are available. They expect new stock in january 2012. http://www.international-auto.com/index.cfm?fa=p&pid=2651&posid=887195&noapp=1
These are the original license plate light for at least the Mondial T. I think they also fit earlier models. Carello finally delivered. There is also one on ebay. Search Alfa GTV-6 license plate lights.

When the car arrived I tried them and hummmmm, strange. If you turn the know to full ON position the lights would turn off again. So today I decided I was looking at this problem. So I removed the rotating knob off the stalk. There is a retaining ring that you just pry off and then you can slide the knob off the stalk. Be CAREFULL there is a small detend ball and a spring and you don't want to loose them. At the bottom of the knob hole is a cam that operates the switch in separating the two copper blades to open(turn off) the circuit. At first I tought the cam in some way might have been place in the wrong position by someone in a previous repair. But couldn't see how. After a closer inspection I found the black wire was unsoldered from the blade. It was probably forced to touch when the swith was hafl way but released when in full position. I resoldered the wire in place taking care not to heat/melt the plastic by cooling it with a wet rag while soldering. Put everything back in place and it was working like it should. The first fuseboxes I make, I used the old connectors (see thread in Sticky mondial repair) The NEW fuseboxes have bigger connectors for relais, fuses and where the wires are connected. Relais connectors have 2 pins (2.5 mm2) instead of the 1 (1.5 mm2) ; Fuse connectors are for the new model fuses ; Wire connectors are much bigger with bigger pins. Because of the bigger connectors they are turned 90 degrees and therefor the white plastic connector holders have to be cut a little. This can be done with a dremel. Fuseboxes are available for ALL mondials, testarossa, 328, 400 series and F40. You may qualify in time for a Nobel Prize of one sort or another. The world is a better place for diligent people. I am confident in this because I am a resolutly un-diligent person and know of what I speak.
Because I'm traveling 7 months a year, distribution of my fuseboxes in the future will be done by = Red Bay Classic Cars and Spare Parts - Home Guido
