Are they interchangeable? Basically are the clutch valve interchangeable with selection valves? It seems practically the EV3,4,5 will never go bad since they are far less frequently activated than the EVF.
so I was thinking to take a spare EV3 to replace a bad EVF. Is that something smart or stupid?

Also, the 2 screw-like things in red circle, what are their functions? WSM never mentioned these.

EV3, EV4, EV5 and EVF are all 4 Proportional Flow Valves. EV3, EV4 and EV5 are used as on/off valves, while EVF is controlled by a PWM signal. Though, not sure they have the same flow/current characteristics. Let us know if you make a try!

The small screw is the bypass screw which allows to connect the HP side to the LP side in order to release the high pressure.
The large screw is for the pressure relief valve, again it connects the HP side to the low pressure side in case of excessive pressure.
