    Hi All,

    I am a fairly new owner of my 2011 California having owned it for a few months but I have just found this forum whilst looking to replace the terrible head unit!

    I upgraded from a 911 C4S and I am really liking the difference that the California displays over the 911, totally different car.

    I have just asked the local dealer in the UK for a price on the new Ferrari head unit that has been mentioned. Also interested to hear if anybody else based in the UK has managed to install an aftermarket head unit.

    I do like my music and do miss the outstanding Bose unit that the 911 had.

    please keep us informed about the alternative headunit offered by ferrari. my dealer didnt know anything about it.

    Great looking car. Good luck on the head unit. You might want to explore options with an upscale car stereo store.

    Often it's not the head unit but the speakers and amplification that make the most difference in sound. Anyway, you're the first person that misses the Bose in the 911. While the Bose is not a bad stereo, it's the Burmester optional audio in the 911 that everyone raves about. If all you want is to bring the Cali up to the level of the Bose in the 911, that should be fairly easy with an upgraded set of speakers and an additional amp. You should be able to do that for no more than, and likely less than, an upgraded Ferrari head unit.

    I think there was a thread about a month ago from someone (in the US) who put in a Pioneer - my guess is where there's one there's probably other threads too over the years

    Great looking car...I am also a former C4s upgrader and find that the F is way more fun to drive than the C4s...enjoy!

    Congratulations for your Cali magnificent car........Looks like mine which is a 2010 Nero Daytona 17.000 Km but with diamond wheels and black brake calipers.
    If you fancy a fantastic sound experience let me tell you the following because it might interest you. On mine the first owner installed a Capristo exhaust system which has valves that you can open and shut if you wish using also a remote control. With the valves open and specially with the roof down, the least I can say is that the musical experience is like a nirvana and provoques chicken skin. Because this "musical" experience it is so far superior to any hi-fi system I advise you to have a look at it.
