Great news that they plan to re-release. I have Oem Fuchs ready to go. To my eye, nothing looks as discordant as contemporary tires on a vintage car.

Does anyone else have trouble viewing certain images like this one? Is it an Internet Explorer version issue?

+1 agreed. one can see the reason to go up a size due to tire availability but people putting 18inch on a 30-40 yr old car bother my eyes too.

I dart - The '76 930 looks like the duplicate to my car except mine is a '77 Turbo Carerra - US car. I have the stock 15" wheels but changed the headlights to the ROW headlights and the tail light lenses as well and added the passenger mirror. Also put flush headlight washers replacing the snorkel washers. I have owned mine since '79 when I got it from the origional owner with 1,900 miles. I have had most of the car refurbished but not to concourse condition as I was afraid I wouldn't drive it if it was perfect.

It could only really have spent the first 15 years of its life in DDR, since DDR seized to exist in 1990 ;-)

IIRC, only RoW models had the trunk plate in the 930 production. 911s had them for US and RoW models until I'm guessing, the impact bumper cars came out. Then it was RoW only.

how did they even get 930 Turbo into DDR? wasn't it a communist country where people were not allowed to have nice expensive cars?

CharlesE - No I don't have the snorkles, wish I did as I would want them in event I ever sold the car as the new owner would likely want them.

As far as pictures I am not sure how to post them in any event. But the car was on the cover of Excellence Magazine October 2013 and several pictures in the article.
