Its funny you would bring this up i have been waiting to build one and will when i do the engine out next year. Basically i am using an old brake master cylinder off one of my old superbikes. I just needed to get the quick coupler machined in my shop and to do that i needed the one on the car removed.
He says he does not have this tool, nor has he ever had this in stock for the 355. I could search for it from some other source, but I think if someone smart and resourceful (there is no shortage of those on this forum) could concoct one up and make it readily available to all of us F1 owners, I am sure each of us would all snap one up.
Eurospares told me it's no longer available and a couple dealers told me the same. The dealers also stated it was only available to dealers.
Even if the supply houses had one, would you burp up $700 or more for one? Doesn't look like much. Cylinder full of ATF fluid with a plunger and an air hose quick disconnect. Johnk is probably right. A modified master cylinder could be made to operate the same way. Some day when I am completely out of projects I might look at making something up. Don't hold your breath
Bumping this thread as I located and purchased this tool along with many other factory tools including a new factory degree wheel More to come Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice work Dave. Here's hoping you reverse engineer the thing and offer up an equivalent tool for us other F1 owners to purchase! Sent from my SM-G900V using FerrariChat.com mobile app
