He should just give people back their money (or what's left of), his parents shouldn't have to deal with this. We should help spread the word to those of mentortips, before things get any worse, or more people get scammed.

So let's take step back and look at this objectively.

Remember early on when people who KNEW that Reza had ripped them off were reluctant to come forward and directly accuse him? They were naively hoping that he would still return some money to them. Or, more accurately, he threatened not to return funds if they published accusations here. And they cowered.

Do you think that four of these milquetoasts really ganged up together, lightly beat Reza, and left him tied and bound in a ditch? And took his 6-year-old car to recoup their bad investments?

Or would be sound more probable that Reza hid the Bentley somewhere, then lightly roughed himself up, tied and bound himself and hid in that ditch all by himself?

Isn't it strange that the suspects can only be described as four masked males? If they were men that Reza knew at all, he would be able to give a better description than that.

There's no way someone runs a Ponzi scheme, lies about it, lies some more, and then suddenly becomes a victim. It's much more likely that the lies become more fanciful. As is in "four masked guys jumped me but I couldn't identify them."

If they meant business, he'd be dead or in critical condition. Not taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It's far more likely that this is simply a continuation of the scam than it is anything else.

Of course the car jacking is completely staged. Surely he was at least a low level blip on the local police radar. He just ratcheted that up to Defcon 3.

This is just so damn sketchy it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was a case of fraud. 4 masked men don't gently kidnap you and leave you in a ditch. This just screams of being a staged event, it's pathetic and sad at this point. This guy needs to go to jail.

For one, I'm not surprised Reza came out unscathed against 4 masked thugs. Afterall didn't he claim to be a MMA phenom in the making? Couple that with his CEO crushing skills, those goons are lucky to be in one piece.

I smell another elaborate scam. I'm sure the truth will come out now that he is under the spotlight. Here's to hoping the police do a thorough investigation and bring justice to those affected.

Where'd you get the "can barely open his eyes" line?

Spelling errors forgiven, the Toronto Sun says he was only bound at the ankles.

Who does that? I'm going to strap your hands behind your back if I have only a single zip-tie.

Friend, clearly you aren't very smart. There have been oodles of people with LOADS OF MONEY that have lost it in ponzi schemes or to people like Reza. Think of people like Conrad Black... and Raj Rajaratnam.... Friend DID lose 600k. Why are you arguing with me? Am i on here to talk ****? No. We all have one goal here and that's to get this scum bag off the streets and protect the innocent people. You are not even from Toronto, so why are you here?

Go away with your negativity. Your are not MacGyver!

Tudos was asked if the victim knows his abductors.
“We’re not releasing that information,” is all he would say.

Think this through (and, how many movies have this scene) -

Scammer has your money. You want it back.

    He ignores you.

You find him and kidnap him.

He pleads with you and says he will get your money back. You know that if you get rid of him you won't find the money (he tells you that as he is pleading for his life). So, you beat him up bad, take his car, and give him an ultimatum. Money or else, you have xxx days.

In some time, if he goes missing forever we will know this was the warning shot*

    * Conspiracy theorists will say that this is the first stage to disappearance to eventually fake death and disappear with the money. The guy just doesn't seem that smart.

So three days before the "abduction" some mystery guest posts on the forex site saying Reza plays/sponsors an indoor soccer team that plays at the Hershey Center.

Mentor Tips | WARNING | Forex Peace Army

(see the waldo post, Feb 22).

Happens to be 1 block from the alleged "abduction" site quoted in the police report/newspaper article.

Unless he's on a respirator with a broken back, I don't buy it for a second. As somebody else pointed out, looks like a perfect cover for him to post one final message to his minions about "fearing for his safety" and that he will "disappear" and move to Calgary or Vancouver while he regroups his scam...

It's a lease, he's got nothing to --- er, the kidnappers have nothing to gain by destroying the car. No insurance to be scammed here.

His credit is probably ****ed from the repos of all the exotics last year. Give up the only car that he can scrounge payments up for? Unlikely.

488 you make a compelling argument. Those 2 bad guys you reference are some slick and sophisticated mofo's. Very skilled conmen on a world class level. Given the existence of such accomplished criminals throughout time... it only follows that historically there have been some very wealthy peeps that have lost vast sums of money.

That being said, we may as well call your bs while your post count is in the single digits. Simply stating the obvious (that there exist superlative con artists that have stolen lots of dough from rich peeps) does not mean you have a friend that was taken for $600-large by Reza.

How do we know this? 2 reasons.

1~ Reza is not nearly a good enough swindler to take any one person for that much dough. Not even remotely in the realm of possibility. His target demographic are young guys looking to make a quick buck without working. If you have a mirror handy, take a straight on glance. Smile! Now you know who Reza is looking for.

2~ As I stated before, you don't have any friends with that sort of disposable capital. Possibly (probably?) you have a buddy with the required level of stupidity and/or greed to fall victim to such a ploy. Come on thats only 1/2 the battle!

In order for your claim to be true, both conditions above would need to be false. Since neither is ... your claim is null/void and stinks like leftover poutine from last year. Which condition is more "untrue" you ask? A toss up as it were. Were we in Vegas they'd say... "pick 'em".

My guess is you will fight back for a while and continue to insist this ridiculous claim is true. So while you're doing that... why not indulge us? What was going on when your buddy phoned you up? Did you hit "pause" and put down the PlayStation controller? Or did he have to leave a vm? "Hey 488 I just got taken for $600 big ones by OceanSky. I'm such a dummy lol. Come over lets have a Molsen and drown our sorrows".

Its funny because the 1st time you mentioned this a couple months back, more than a few F-chatters questioned you. Strangely you never said anything else about it. New guy, 2nd day after registering, 2nd post ever... why would that be suspicious?

Lets see. 1st ever 488Spider post references friend's wife in the 1st ever Canadian delivery 488 in the 488 picture thread. No pic though hmmm. 2nd post you dropped the "friend was taken for $600k" bomb. 3rd post is a pic of a blow-up doll looking girl in a 488. 4th post you make reference to a news article on King Reza and lie about the fact it says he could barely open his eyes. When questioned about that you tell us you read it on another news site.

So where is the link to the other site/article?

Why does it matter that I'm not from Toronto? The overwhelming majority of posters in this thread are not from there. Should all the non-Toronto types leave this thread and Reza to only Torontonians? wtf?

And why the MacGyver comparo? Not that I mind. I'm flattered! However... I didn't conjure up an interwebz lie detector from a paper clip and leftover lambda probe. I am only making logical conclusions after an internet troll makes an outlandish post. The likes of which this forum has seen countless times before and will no doubt see again.

steaming pile of bull**** alert. From Reza's facebook page:

Thank you everyone for the get well wishes. All the stories are true. I was kidnapped by around 10 men of I believe Sri Lankan decent at gun point and taken for 15 hours. I apologize for missing my event. Until I speak to the press I cannot reveal too much information other than this was a setup from a Forex company similar to mine that did not want me to continue trading. I am just happy that I can see my daughter and family. I'll be back stronger than ever. I have broken ribs, severe concussion, massive head trauma, busted lower extremeties and a lot more. But I will triumph over this. I'm a survivor and only focused on growing mentor tips and my beautiful family. Love you all and see you fresh for Monday trading. Bless.
