Good evening. Just looking at my new cable collars and you will see the cable is supposed to pass through the collar however you will note the threaded ends of the cable will not pass through the hole, the hole is only really the correct size for the cable itself.

You will also see my existing ones, the cables sits into them and is also steel collar. The part number 105794 is correct for my car, but it doesn't quite make sense.

    Any suggestions?

Cut a slot in them to fit over the cable end and slide on.

But then they still wont sit in the original housing unless I start drilling the steel ones out...that can't be right can it?

    Hi Graham,
    I doubt if this helps.
I cleaned up my handbrake last year, in an attempt to get it to work (it didn't).

I left the original nylon guide on the cable, so did not encounter the same problem that you have hit. The only reason I am putting this picture up is because it appears to differ to how your guide is fitted to the chassis.
My guide just pressed out and back into the metal frame.
If yours was the same as mine, the suggestion of 4redude would be fine?

Thanks Andy, mine does look different. Just frustrating as the parts diagrams don't show anything different than the plastic collars.
