who is Reza Mokhtarian?

The CTV reporter Heather Wright appears to be a sharper stick than perhaps the usual pretty piece of fluff with a microphone. One can only imagine the feeling of dread as the interview went along as she realized the abduction story and everything else including the quivering blob of flesh yabbering in front of her was a complete sham.

How does this area of the "news" (entertainment?) industry work? As her and her crew were editing the piece at the station or in their van or wherever... are they already planning the follow up or expose' segment? Do they intentionally report on this trumped up crap portraying the perp as a "victim" only so they can "scoop" the story when the inevitable happens? Was the reporters Twitter post for Reza to call her the baited hook?

For those of you still professing he was actually kidnapped... it's time to wake up.

 

This is the beginning of the end for him. He's squarely in the polices view now. They won't stop at investigating this alleged kidnapping they will keep digging and if he's broken any laws he will be charged. Expect him to go into hiding soon. Probably in a country with no extradition treaty with Canada.

You're wrong about no investors having lost a large sum of money like the one mentioned previously. In fact, if you look hard enough, you can find in the system right now a claim that is being paid back for a similar sum of money from a few years ago, though it is unrelated to CTM.

I can all but guarantee you're wrong about your kidnapping setup theory as well, although obviously I can't prove it. I don't know if you realize, but he is making a lot of money from Mentor Tips. Bringing this kind of heat on himself doesn't make sense.

The two videos are not exactly conflicting, there could be an unexplained couple of hours in between.

As abductions go, this one seems fairly low key. Reza got off pretty well actually considering it was 10 bad guys that nabbed him. A couple black eyes and some belly bruises. Even got his car back! He was found with a relative minimum of fanfare and went home. Now the story he made up about missing his seminar because he hurt himself playing soccer can quietly die. Perfect!

The big question phil82 would be, why, when anonymity is the key... would Reza choose to have a national news team interview him on television?

I still think he is dumb enough to fake the whole thing (real punches to the face and all).

Anyway, I can't *completely* rule out the possibility that Reza is crazy or desperate enough to pull this stunt. Given the circumstances, I just find it unlikely. I explained why in some detail a couple pages back.

To answer your last question - why would Reza request a thread be started on a forum where so many people clearly dislike him, and where he had been thoroughly bashed prior to that, to have it spin out of control with 100+ pages of mostly negative commentary, and then actually point his "followers" to it so they could see it and fuel the flames?

Seems pretty reminiscent of the media in this situation. They aren't things you or I would do, but he just can't ****ing help himself.

Haven't filed yet. Been negotiating with his attorney. As you can expect, negotiating with Reza is like... anything else involving Reza. Have also been waiting to see if this cracked wide open before sending good money after bad. Looks like the wait is finally over eh?

This was def not a fake abduction... this only draws massive police, OSC, Mountie, CRA attention to him. This is not good attention... As stated... if he actually made all of that $ from trading, there would be records of the trades and he would have had to claim it on his taxes as capital gains and whatnot. Do you think the OSC will find massive profits on trades by him.. HELL NO. So where did the $ come from...... Someone tell me He's had it for years...... Wait till the CRA comes down on him.
