Per two articles I read both the stripes and the door script are optional.

I've never been much of a P-car fan (though I have a new to me 991 C4S that I am loving), but I love that Porsche is a stalwart in keeping the manual alive. (And no insult to any P-car fans about my not loving Porsches, the greatness of the marque and its machines is undeniable.)

It's been 48 hours since I read the release on this glorious creature -- the pain is getting worse . . .

Am I the only one that finds the "retro" design cues very contrived and the overall design rather boring?

You don't need to order any of the exterior stripes, if that's what you're referring to.

I happen to like the houndstooth interior.

Mike, you just focus on getting me an allocation for an Ultra Violet RS! :)

Clean body style + RS engine + STICK-SHIFT = winner....... What a great daily driver that would be.

I'd just opt-out of those ugly paint stripes and the plastic-looking engine cover.

The rear panel opens up to become a wing at speed, plus a new rear diffuser to make up for the lack of a static wing.

Totally agree, in the automotive world, its becoming a little old and reeks of a lack of originality when they trot out the old iconic names for contemporary cars.

Cool car though, but I'll stick with my 991 GT3.

Love it. Makes my GT3 at $140K an even better value.

    No.

But it's made to be a collectible/investment like the 997 Speedster. Ordering the retro bits will probably help it appreciate as collectors will want all of that.

    Guys,

Just got an allocation but passed on it. If anyone is looking then let me know. They want a hefty premium though

Dont get me wrong, I like it, but it strikes me as more born out of the marketing department, than the motorsports or engineering department.

Assume this was from a 918 owner?
