Is the 275 an original Spider?

No, not an original spyder, but a cut 275 GTB/4 berlinetta s/n 10969. I believe it was only with Beard for a year or two in the mid-1990s.

Thanks Wayne. Are they still in business? They did some nice stuff years ago if I recall.

I believe M&L no longer exists, but I think Mark was working in a different shop and under a different business name not long ago. Can't recall the name or location of the business though.

I heard one time that he owned a 1989 328 GTS.

Can someone confirm and know S/N ?

He was reportedly the original owner of 1989 328 GTS VIN ZFFXA20AXK0081660 (white/red). The source was an eBay listing for this car back in June, 2005.

As the current owner of his 328, I can confirm.
I got to go backstage and meet the band. Great guys!
It was custom ordered in Maserati White instead of Ferrari White. My question to everyone here is:
I was told by the owner of Ferrari Vancouver that this is the only Ferrari ever painted by Ferrari in non-Ferrari paint. It's painted in Maserati White (in the VIN Code).
This is not an after-market paint job. It was done by Ferrari in Italy and shipped to Newport Beach in 89.

I've had this great car for 10 yrs now and I am considering putting her up for auction!

He sold the GTO Spider many years ago. It is now in Austin Texas and has a replacement engine block.
During a head gasket replacement many issues were found and the block was found to be beyond any sensible repair.
It also has a BMW transmission.

Ferrari has a long history of painting cars in special order, one off colors.

There is nothing in the VIN relating to paint or color. On 328 there is a Glasurit paint label with color code on bottom of engine cover.

The 17 digit VIN never contains the color code.
Plenty of new Ferraris originally painted in non-factory colors (even Maserati colors). Nothing special at all.
