What kind of price range one should expect to pay for a 612 following this spec: a. 2005 with paddle shift b. 4 owners c. 20K miles. d. 599 sport wheels (20") but front wheels need a refinish (a small bent and some curb rashes on the other) and needs a full set of tires. e. Dual tone leather option (i forgot the name of that interior style for the 612). Very clean inside. f. About 10-15K worth of work to make it perfect (mostly gaskets to eliminate oil seeping with transmission out) g. Some repaint and respray noted for scratches and a minor bumper damage my guess would be 80K ? or is that too much ?
I would start at 65k and work up from there... Assuming this is not from a dealer right? Color can make a difference too as is condition of the interior leather.
ah! of course... USA Car is not unloved or abused. Simply it is a good driver that really does not need the repairs if the owners keeps it (besides the tires having old date) but as a purchase you want to have the bits fixed. I heard some oil seepage from valve cover is not uncommon not is it indicative of a bigger issue beyond unsightly Interior is mint. Car is silver.

well it seem that 05 612 with around 20K miles+ are asked for between 85K and 93K. I am sure they are not perfect either. An immaculate interior tells me the car was cared for but was used as a semi-daily with bumpers repaint at some point in its life. Paint looks fine so someone cared to do touch ups when needed. Oil seeping is not like a knocking engine and the car drives fine. Although this price range is for people looking for a semi-daily driver and not a garage queen, it is just that when you buy a car you dont want to see oil seeping but indeed I do not see any 612 below $82K ask, question is in what mechanical conditions.
I guess it depends. I think 612's are almost always slow movers and thus presumably negotiable. OTOH, find a unicorn car that's well sorted with universal appeal, another story. If the OP thinks the car needs $10-15k in service, could end up being more. At 20k miles, it ll depends on maintenance. If the car is asking $85k with $20k in deferred maintenance, what's a proper offer? Maybe $70k? If you think of the list of **** that could potentially be wrong at 20k miles, suspension, clutch, leaks, stickies, major, dash leather, reverse lever, window switches, potential for other items like water pump, god only knows what you're getting into. Could be a great car. Could be a nightmare. All depends. At a decade old, we're at that point where some cars stay healthy and others end up destined to be parted.

Honestly, I'm a believer in purchasing the best car you can afford. It really does make a difference and probably a better value in the long run. I chose to get a very fair deal on an HGTS variant for a little more that was in CA and just had a major service with usual items (revers switch, window switch, etc) replaced. So far, no regrets. Regardless, if your looking for a deal, have it carefully inspected and bid as low as possible. Good luck.
thks guys. that is great inputs. the only unknown is really the transmission out to fix a minor leak. everything else, switches, leather etc.. that can be seen is in good condition. so the only issue is mechanical known is about $10k, + 5K for the wheels and then depending on luck there may be more when taking down the trani and valve covers.
The car I bought looks immaculate but is still costing 10k in service, tyres and other bits to get it fully sorted.
If there is some damage to the wheels also check out the suspension arms. One of mine had been deflected and although the geometry was still ok we thought best to replace. Combination of long nose and heavy front engine means that this is apparently not unknown.
