It's the car built just ahead of mine (55057). Didn't it sell for like $5k last year on eBay? I watch it every time it pops up. Honestly, I'd like to have it. Make a grill or couch out of it. Hmmm.

Normally they use an entire "end" for a sofa, so, TWO couches there!

Tail lights are $400 each, though

The seller has no history. I bet it's a scam.

A scam? How come? Do you think it's overpriced? Could you imagine having to go pick that poor thing up... :)

P.S. No reserve! $500 so far. What tail lights?

The only things of even questionable value are the number plates. Cut them out and trash the rest.

Exactly my thoughts. Someone has a clean VIN for sale there. I guess that comes from being born in Oakland.

Project car? This thing isn't even a parts car. Yeah, make it into a sofa, that's about it.

There must be some salvageable parts from it... The right front rim, rubber protectors for rear bumper, etc.

    I'd consider if it's local.

Wow... I can't believe it... it's even worse than my car when I bought it! And I thought I was crazy... it's still cheaper, though...

Is that a VW Camper van rear axle?

I was thinking of you when I saw the car and was thinking there was not even enough left for you to justify a purchase. How is your project coming along?

Hey there, Jonny! Project 37313 is awaiting for the last suspension bits I got last december. Due to the weight, they're coming by boat... and shipping was delayed until mid february because not enough "stuff" was gathered in order to fill up a complete container. Hopefully, they'll arrive by the end of April/ beginings of May. I plan to have it landed on its own wheels by the end of the year, and move into bodywork during 2017. We'll see ;-)

    It is a fraud listing.

Either the year or VIN is wrong.

A frog listing or a fraud listing? Frog? Fraud? I think we're on the same page :)

1980 VINs did not start with a '5."

My NOV '80 build date '81's VIN started with a '3.'
