Depends what you mean by accepted - the process starts once it's in MODIS. If your dealer accepted your order and it's not in MODIS then you would be waiting for a slot.

I think the order is submitted to Ferrari and then you need and allocation for it to go into production. Did they say when you would get an allocation? It can be anywhere from now to never on an allocation. I had a December allocation it was built in February and should be at the dealer in the next week or so.

It looks like you're car is in 10 status, as is mine. What that means is your order is accepted by the factory against a committed allocation. It usually goes 10 Red with in 4 weeks of that date. 10 Red means the order is locked by the factory and starting the production process. The time it take to go from 10 Red to 20, is dependent on many factors. My 458 was in 10 Red for 2 months, which was much longer than most. From the point that it goes status 20, you have approximately a 3-4 month wait to the west coast.

10 red to 90 (on the water) for me was from Jan 22 to March 7. I'm just waiting for that ship to come in now!

I think you will get the car in July. My order was accepted about a month ago, and I was told delivery on East Coast would be in June.

My order was accepted last week. According to my dealer, the car will start to be built this week, delivery in under 90 days. Will see how close this estimate is!

Unlikely... My order went in first week of November, built in Feb and will be delivered probably first week of April? They say it shipped end of Feb then has to clear customs and get to west coast and get prepped..In my experience 4-6 months is typical for a standard build. Little longer for complex/custom stuff and little sooner if you fly it over (think its about 10K)

    Hi Leon:

That sound unrealistic. My order was accepted 3 weeks ago and I'm being told July, which is about what I experience with my 458.

Quite possible. The production number was issued by the factory yesterday. Delivery date shows as June 6, so will see. I've never followed the builds on the prior cars I have ordered, so not familiar with codes and statuses. To me, all that matters is they started building the car, it will get here when it gets here!

I really depends on what you ordered. There are lots of things that can take extra time and/or pull your car off the main line. I had a custom stripe (down off line), a red stripe on the steering wheel (took a long time to receive before production began. or customer interior which also takes more time.. Everything on the car has to be complete and on the line before production begins. Once is does.. you're 2.5 days away from completion

Congrats.. post lots of pics when you get it.

That's great Leon! You're definitely ahead of me then. There is also a luck of the draw thing that makes no sense. My 458 was in Red 10 status for 50 days before it went into production, and I had no special features that would slow the process down. My friends was in Red 10 for 10 days. The Ferrari NA Region VP couldn't explain it.

Anyway, totally agree, we'll get em when we get em, even though I'd take mine tomorrow. :)

Also I have heard the date of delivery isn't firm either, it can be really off.

Side note it seems when deliveries hit August, the model year changes to the following, is that true from what you find?

So, as to the delivery date in Ferrari Modis, you are correct, it means nothing. For my 458 it said April 10th and the car arrived June 1st. As to when they change the model year, my experience is it's pretty close to calendar year, but I'm not certain.

My Salesman was spot on with every detail of the car's status. Even with lack of info from Ferrari, he was able to informed me of when I was black 10 (Ferrari has order but no production date scheduled). Told me when to finalize the car specs in anticipation of Red 10. Once red 10, it becomes more clearer when we expected the car.
    Status Red 10 - Jan 13
Status 90 On the boat - Feb 2nd.
    Received build pictures Feb 27th.
Unloaded at NJ port pending customs Mar 5th.
    Dealer received car Mar 8th.
Dealer delivered to me Mar 11th.

    Hope this helps.

First off congratulations! Car's absolutely gorgeous!

Going from Red 10 to 90, on the water in just less than 4 weeks is by far the fastest I've ever seen. As I said, my 458 was in Red 10 for 9 weeks. Maybe production time frames have shortened, which would be great news.

Congrats! Love the car, you must be pumped! Can you share your specs? The rims are diamond right? I'm trying to find different shots of the rim coloring. I ordered mine already just wanted to see it.

Maybe they are speeding things up??? Guess we'll see how ours come out. Should know more in the next few weeks!

For person who asked about model years, I believe the next model year production stars up sometime after the August shutdown, which are October and on deliveries. Could be off by a few weeks.
