Confused. Is this #1127GT? According to my notes #1127GT was in the USA from 1958 owned by George Reed. The paint in the B&W photo at that event in Austria look like it could be the same car but the dates don't fit.Comments ? tonga's crew

someone sent this to me a while back (#1127GT)... I believe Sebring 1959...but stand to be corrected...
... I also have another photo.. color photo... of the car at Sebring with Reed standing next to the car...(somewhat faded, but definitely a white car with red strip...)

George Reed owned and raced 0893 in 1958, painted white with a red stripe. Sebring 1958 was the car's first race. Reed won the C Production National Championship with this car.

Does anyone have any period engine bay photos of TdF's that they would like to share?

    Thanks,

Is that the prettiest model TdF? Or the earlier PF design?

I rather like the finned body style. It looks more swift.

I love them all, but I'm rather partial to the single louvre covered headlight.
Here is 0895gt, the first single louvre car. She will be driven every day for the next 3 days - forecast in New York is warm and sunny - yipee

Salvatore Fabregas and co-driver Soler crashed early at the Col de la Turbie and DNF, left front damaged.

Car today looks not correct, the rubbers on the vertical front bumpers should not be black but white.
