I did a lot of research on these wheels before I pulled the trigger...found pretty much all the pics the internet had to offer but couldn't quite get a solid answer on whether or not the BBS 360 Challenge wheels would bolt right on a 348 without mods. They'll bolt on but we machined off 7mm on the rears to get them inside the wheel wells where they belong. No issue with the machining...plenty of meat left on the pad.

What an absolute massive difference these wheels made on the car. They look like they belong on it(in my opinion) as well as updating it. Rides and handles like a proper car. Great setup....hope it helps somebody considering them.

    Tires are Hankook V12 Evo2 235/40/18 front, 285/35/18 rear...

That looks soooo good. I love the 360 challenge wheel design but had read that because of the material they are made of you could not machine them down. Or maybe it was that there was not enough hub to machine them down enough for a 355. ??

Might be a 355 thing. I seem to recall that being a different offset. We had no issue removing material. Consulted with my trusted wheel guy as well as the specialist who machined them. There was a lot of meat left. I thought I read somewhere that there was some confusion about the material used on these....not being streetable, etc. I believe it wasn't accurate...

Those look awesome! I think the 19's on the 348 look to large and the 18's on the 360 look too small....but the 18's on the 348 look perfect IMHO.

Very very nice, only a shame that those 18" Challenge wheels are so hard to find (as they were only used for racing).

If you took off 7mm for the rears to be right on a 348 then you would have to take off 20+ off for a 355 maybe there's not enough for that. I thought the conversation I remember was about the material and it not being something you should mill at all.

They are definitely the 18s. The 19s have a little difference in the design. On the 18s the U and V shape the spokes make is staggered at different depthes. On the 19s they are pretty much even and they don't look neary as good to me. The 18s are just a beautiful wheel design and perfect in the bright aluminum finish.

They are 18s as were all the Challenge wheels. The Stradale got the 19 which is different as was pointed out. 18s work on this car as does this wheel. I don't care for wheels on Ferraris generally...certainly not aftermarket. Call me a purist. I tried to find the Speedline Challenge wheels as i think they are very period correct but as we all know, they are hard to find. These weren't easy but it turned out that my local guy who does take-offs was able to get them along with the caps(different caps for this wheel). A couple small scratches(no curb damage) but it's a 66k 348...not worried about a couple of tiny chips/scratches on the wheels. They look about a million times better than the stockers.

We have a large wheel supply place here in Tampa that can machine back pads. They did them without an issue. $40 or something. Cheapest part of this whole deal.

Fellow 348-er across town has a set of those 360 Challenge wheels on his 348 Spyder, and it looks great. His has the 3 red BBS logos surrounding the center hub area, however. Does that indicate any difference?

    AWESOME!

I always thought 348 looked so much better with aftermarkets. I never had my factories on my 348 .

I had collected a lot of images of these wheels on cars but never really at the right angle. In my pics they looked like they fit OK as is...when we got them on the car, they just hung out too far....

Lowering the car made a huge difference too.

Thanks for posting. Very nice look, and good job expanding the selection of tastefully done 348 wheels.
