Just bought a oil filter wrench on ebay for my 355 from a place called aceparts in the uk. My total cost with shipping was about 15 us dollars. It fits great. Part # is VS7006.V2-15. It is 86mm by 18 flutes. Just putting it out there for those of u who may be looking to buy one.

That's fairly cheap. Is it plastic or metal?

No horse but its made out of steel like the one that ultimate garage sells for more than double that amount.

The only issue I have seen with those is the spot welds can be weak between the cap and insert...and they separate. Someone posted that this happened to them, and they welded the snot out of it, to prevent it from happening again.

I'm pretty happy with the Hill Engineering one. ;)

But does this wrench have a ferrari emblem on it ?is it made of titanium ?

How do you torque the filter to the correct spec as stated by the wsm using this , ugh ,common tool?

You are a hack , the wheels are going to fall off your car , i hope for safety sake the are no children nearby when your car explodes

    Hey John,

I love the fact that the 355 filter is in a nice place and points down to drain the oil out :)

But (at least on a 5.2), side access is not great and I torque mine to spec :)

(yes, no torque wrench shown in this photo - just pre tightening)

lol , no red Ferrari rubber glove with a horsey on it ?

I feel so left out ,I sold my Ferrari , so heres one of me putting gas in my Yukon

Things to note here, nozzle is completely inserted according to wsm procedure , all my electronic devices are switched off, and I did tighten the cap to till it clicked as per wsm spec.

Yes it is. I could see not wanting to spend 85 bucks for a tool you will use once a year, but at 15 bucks, why bother doing without the tool? Heck, you could include the tool with the car when you go to sell it.

Apparently you missed the wsm procedure to place the cap in the gas door retainer as to not scratch the paint. You get a D- better luck next time.

    :D

Remember if you are filling the Turbo you place the little rubber cap tender through the clip on the fuel door. :)

Thnx , i'll look at that tomorrow, i was wondering , letting it hang on that one seems kinda sloppy.

Never thought about it , it hangs down so far it only hits the tire , lol
