This seems to be a new condition in the ongoing saga of my CIS. As of last week, when I turn the key to 'Run', even before turning to 'Start', the frequency (metering) valve just starts firing incessantly. I haven't gone relay or fuse checking, yet (sorry), but figured I'd ask: does anyone have an "Aha!" answer about this?

I have had hot start issues since I got the car (8 years of storage by the PO has left me with a sticky plunger, methinks), but now I've got cold start issues. Takes a while for the car to catch. Finger in the wind, it seems like I'm lacking fuel pressure, somehow. I hear & feel the relay for the fuel pump (H, lower left) firing erratically when the I've got the key to 'Start' and I'm giving it some pedal. Don't really know the implications of this, but maybe I just didn't have to notice it beforehand...

Should I worry about the relays, or the fuse, on the injection ECU plate?

The blue plug at the air flow meter is probably disconnected. It is either that or a fault in its circuit.

Wow! Or...the sensor plate was misaligned such that it was holding the arm down and triggering that sensor.

Learned a tremendous lesson about the system tonight. Aligned properly and the frequency valve isn't firing any longer.

What type of sensor is that? I can't feel anywhere it would make contact with the plate/arm....
