Passed up buying 458 for the Scuderia!!

    For anyone who knows me, up until today I had a 2005 Rosa Corsa / Nero 430 F1 which I cherished and loved to drive. Recently, I was approached by someone looking for a clean 430 and a deal was struck.

    During my search for a replacement, I looked at a couple of 2012/2013 Rosa Corsa / Nero 458 Italias and I got to say, they are absolutely beautiful cars. Astonishing performance, great looks and warranty / servicing included. The one that was most impressive had the optional carbon fiber racing seats which were incredible.

    It was a tough decision but in the end I decided to spend just a little more and picked up a really nice, two owner, full history 2009 Giallo/Nero Scuderia with 5,000 miles on it. It has S-line and factory exhausts included. I would love to have both, but I had to choose only one, but think I made the right decision.

    Best move, period. There is something very special about the Scud, and it was the end of the Raw Era as far as Ferrari production models go.

    The Scud will go down as one of the most desirable models for its time/price range.

    I love the 458 also, but it doesn't deliver the Ferrari raw experience like the Scud / Challenge Stradale.

    Last time I took my Scud in for service, the dealer offered to trade straight up for a nice 458 he had on the floor. When I bought mine, the 458's were at least $30K+ more.

    Congrats! You made the right choice. If I had bought the scud years ago, I would have saved myself lots of time and money in my search to find the perfect car. Just glad I have one now.

    Congrats and great looking car. I was debating between a Giallo but ending up playing safe and got my RC scud. The yellow stitch and yellow tech fabric is awesome. Reminds me of my Vantage with yellow stitch too.
