I came late and did not take pics. But man can Tim cook! Vince will have to tell you what we ate my Italian is poor.
Well its a good thing for everyone else you did come late, otherwise none of them would have even gotten a taste.
It was a very interesting day. Tim's Italian cooking is pretty close to grandma's - and that is saying quite a lot. I think I have to show him how we make sugo/gravy/tomato sauce a Siciliano. The subframe for the 355 might be more advanced in design but it isn't as durable. Yeah the metal on Henry's '95 was pretty iffy. Compared to a '98 or '99 big difference so you later model guys are probably okay. Plus there looked like later versions had gussets in the weak places. Early model owners should probably get their frames checked. Tim did a great job working around the area in situ so lots of shielding and maneuvering. Plus we drones help clear stuff out of the way when needed. Passenger's side looked oaky. Car runs great. Really like the '95's.
Glad everything worked out sad I missed it. I allways enjoy the group and the stories, come to think of it almost as much as driving the car. Fbb did you weigh yourself before and after. I am guessing you still weigh in Stones. Ha ha. For those of us that know him we understand he embraces his Fluffy-ness.
Henry, Bruce and I realize we don't have your cell#. I was at FastCars today dropping another Fchater off to pick his car up and yours' was out front. If I had your number I would have picked you up at the hotel and dropped you at FastCars. Anyway, I spent another hours with Bruce since he was on my way home. Both of us were avoiding the car work we had at home to do. It is always better to watch someone else work while we eat Tim's amazing sausages and those string things.
Interesting, the other one with a cracked frame that I saw also was a 95... in the exact same place.... wow !!!
I've always wondered how a 355 could be lighter than a 348 considering all the extra stuff is on it. Now I know. "Lighter" chassis.
Thanks buddy, Craig sent a car for us. It took us four hours to make it home thanks to those wonderful, "free" ways you guys have down there. It's the only time I wished I had paddle shifters. My left leg was killing me. But the car ran great with none of the strange noises I'd grown accustomed to coming from the rear any longer. I'll PM you and Bruce my cell number. Henry
Craig...class act of course. Yeah but your leg ached "in style." The other Fchater was driving the opposite direction towards Ventura. Ha...Both you guys took Advil last night.
As promised, some photos of Tim and some of the guys doing their magic on my ailing car. Henry Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don't exclude yourself. You did most of the work. I see you not having any issue doing an engine out yourself. Thanks for coming by had a great day
See the girl in the backround she has long sleeves. It must have been a 67 degree morning. We wait until the sun is fully out and it is 72. That's perfection.
I agree 355% !!!!! Food and friends rule Nothing really to show, it was in such a spot all we could do was run a few cool beads until we hit some solid metal. You could hardly see the crack its so deeply hidden. Nothing really to see.
South facing to the beach weather really really sucks dont it? Think I will wright my congressman and complain LOL Thats why I set up shop outdoors. Said self, I be in Calforneee now. need to be outside as much as possible. The back driveway when setup will be great. Starting the wood fired pizza oven this week. I think a keg cooler is in order also.
