Tom, I have no entry for 13367 in 1979 Daytona race. Does your picture shows practise ??? Below, another view of the car in Swap Shop colours at 1979 Sebring. Image Unavailable, Please Login
should be Sebring! You can find many pics of other competition daytona's in books, but not so many from this one. The book about the comp. daytona's (Christian Huet) has the most pics from 14407. Is there a book with more comp. daytona race pics? Is Ferrari - Sports Racing and Prototype Competition Cars (A. Prunet) a good book?
hmmm think it is Daytona (testing?) because the banking can be seen in the background with the "D" from Daytona.........
I have no photo.... but it was Daytona 16407 with race #65 that ran Daytona in 1979. They finished second overall! Pretty impressive for a car out of production for over 5 years and up against prototypes and cutting edge machines like the Porsche 935! Terry
Here's a photo of 16407 during the 1979 Daytona 24 hours, with the black mourning band for Otto Zipper across the bonnet. Follow this link to read the complete story: http://www.theautochannel.com/publications/magazines/forza/number10/pg50.frame Joop van der Meer
