Crack pipe money for 2016...maybe not 2020???

 

They are asking $150k. I just bought an E39 with 45k miles from them 2 months ago for $36k.

 

Tough call . . .

 

Will they hit 6 figures at some point? Probably. But I don't see it at 150k today.

 

Its tough to find a real nice example. Most for sale are very tired looking. Id pay a premium for low miles with looks to match. I only look at the odometer as a guide. Back in the 80's and 90's, almost everything got rolled back or their odometers replaced. But if the car looks the part, I'll still pay a premium.

100 miles in,it's great!It feels a lot like the 1M.The rev matching on downshifts is the only thing that takes some getting used to.

Nice car! I have a friend who has the exact color, sport also... and he's done a 6spd conversion.. what a car! That color is great on a 7er

Thinking of staying with BMW as my DD. E60 535i (tuned) right now. Debating a 2012-14 M5, X6 (5.0 or M). I am trying to avoid depreciation, while maintaining reliability and putting 15-20k a year on it. I dig road trips.

I really *really* want a B7, but an LWB in Alpina Blue are hard to find.

Thanks! Did your friend do an engine swap? Or just the tranny? I've heard some people have put the M5 engine in it. As far as the color, it is really unexpectedly pretty and insanely rare. I always said that if I were to buy one it would be the white, they look fantastic in that color. When I was a youngster working at the Bimmer dealer, I never once saw one in imola over the 8 years I worked there. Then one day I saw one on the road and was stunned. Had no idea they ever came in the color. If you never saw one, you wouldn't think it would look good in that color. But when you see it in real life, it just works.
