308 GT4 Original Trunk Carpet

I do see I am realy late into this thread. I can easily see the work behind finding a mat set to be produced and I do, as other have pointed out, appreciate the effort put into this.
If possible I would like to stand in line for any possibility to buy a Euro Beige/Black mat set for my car.

I didn't mean to give the impression I'm concerned, but since we hadn't heard from Adrian in a while I wondered if some circumstance may have intervened, or that maybe he was having a problem with his vendor, etc. Other than that, I'm looking forward to getting a look at the result of all of his tremendous efforts.

No worries at all, I'm just getting excited as the finish of my project approaches!

Well personally, I gave up, I am too old too wait any longer. I asked my restoration shop to drop Adrian as an option.

 

Perhaps the "Chequers" weave might work... if you can persuade them to cut and trim the trunk pieces?

I still haven't made progress regarding the US sizes (anyone willing to do this? would be very helpful), so am thinking of selling only the EU sizes to get thinks up and rolling. I just don't feel comfortable to assume US sizes and end up shipping wrong sizes.

 

Still on the list at #7 with an EU blue/black carpet. I missed sending a notification, sorry.

By "size" do you mean the total amount required or the dimensions of each individual piece?

 

The total amount, e.g. length of the roll given the width of 139/140 cm.

Adrian, what are you needing to get comfortable with the US sizes? I made templates on paper to send to you but all you needed was the total length of material. So I layed out my carpet and played with the pieces to get the correct pattern orientation and determine the minimum length required and sent that. You were still concerned so I offered to ship my complete carpet set to Al so he can cut one set to prove the area required before you cut and send the rest. You thought this was a good plan but it seems to have stalled. Al and I are just waiting for you to send him the first cut of material and I will then send him my carpet set to use as a template for cutting and applying the vinyl edging to get the carpet exact. Unless someone in Europe has a US car with a good carpet set removed it seems like this is the best option. Cheers, John

 

Sorry for the miscommunication, i just need the length of the roll given the width of 139/140 cm, so if Al can layout the tiles and come back with the length he requires i am happy to send a roll with the desired length to him. If you/Al already send a length i unfortunately missed it.

I have had a mail from Adrian today, I may get the trunk carpet with the next delivery as I am #26. Could I join the UK delivery if I am on the list, I live Redditch, Worcestershire and am happy to collect from a central location.

 

Adrian, see post #252 for the dimensions and I posted some pictures around the same time. I would suggest sending Al the longer dimension of 380cm first and then he can see if he can squeeze the pieces into anything smaller and advise you the length for the remaining sets. Cheers, John

Jack's trimmer would like to have 4 meters for the US trunk, if that is fine with the rest of you i will recalculate the available carpet and cost for 1.40 x 4.00 meters for US cars?
