    ...a big black plasticky thing with riveted on leather straps - rivets had rusted off one strap - and the following small collection of tools ( see pic )

    jack but no obvious winding handle
    ratchet that would have been useful for jack but head too small
    non-original ( Indian manufacture ) open ended spanner that did fit turning nut on jack
    wheel nut spanner


    Can anyone advise me what is missing , this was the only tool set with the car

    That is just the jack kit not tool kit. It's also not complete and missing at least the socket extension rod with the plastic turning wheel. No.12 in the below picture. The pouch seems to be modified with protective boards riveted inside as well.

    The wrench/spanner looks like an Everest No.22/Drop Forged/Made in India one that belongs to the tool kit.

    Thanks for the replies , very useful , the driving handbook does not go into detail about the jack handle .

    I will keep an eye out for the extension bar that is missing !

    Sadly I am done with liquidating all of my extra tool rolls and Jack kits....

    That would have been too easy, though.....
