Simple, Small & Cool Interior Logo Upgrade

Hi Everyone!,

I've lurked these message boards for a long time receiving a WEALTH of invaluable information and opinions. Earlier this year I purchased my 2nd Ferrari... a 458 Italia (I also have a 348 Spider) and because of this forum I was able to figure out the exact car/options/color/wheels/seats, etc., etc. by viewing and reading these threads.... SO THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

I wanted to share with everyone a cool little idea I added to the interior of the car that I thought others might be interested in.

There is a small empty spot on the leather on the middle/center console... right under the window buttons and the small "FERRARI" text logo.

If anyone here has purchased some of the higher end Ferrari clothes in the past... you have probably seen the really cool logo tags that come with the clothes. They are black carbon fibre looking cardboard with a chrome looking Ferrari horse logo (it's really plastic... but looks chrome). I always had a hard time throwing those out because they looked so nice and you can take the cardboard backing off easily so I love putting those little Cavallino logos on things like my dogs collar, my bike, Ferrari picture frames and even my laptop & phone case.

So I took a little two-sided tape (so I wouldn't ruin the leather and it could easily be removed in the future) and put one right underneath that empty spot. I think it looks really nice! I noticed that the California's have something similar in the center console and everytime I looked down in the area with the 458 I was thinking it would have been a perfect place for Ferrari to put a Cavallino logo. So I did it myself.

Super Purists... please block your eyes... Here are the pics...

No... not all shirts/jackets... just the higher end ones. The best way to know for sure is to see it on something in one of the Ferrari stores. I was recently in Abu Dhabi at Ferrari World (has the biggest Ferrari Store in the world) and I noticed them on just the higher end stuff ($75+ t-shirts or the really nice jackets). I think they were on some of the nice shorts/jeans as well.

 

Yikes! Another good reason to use double-sided tape instead of glue!

 

I prefer stenciling them with crayons on my dash.
