I dont know if this has been properly answered before, and since I see a lot of owners here, I want to ask how good the recharging of batteries while racing is , both on FXXK and the normal LaFerrari.

When pushing hard, are you eventually running out of battery juice and thus no electric power?

I am really curious if the electric power is always available while racing in a circuit, or you come to a point where you have emptied the batteries.

    Thanks.

There are a lot of factors.
On the LaF, if you push really hard the batteries will charge themselves pretty quickly, bearing in mind that on open roads your foot is not permanently buried on the accelerator and when you lift off, the batteries recharge. The recharge is really quick. You can also set the car to long run which makes the batteries last longer. To be honest, I have never used the long run mode, have done some 6000 Kms and have never run out.
The FXXK is a completely different ball game. Firstly, the driver manages the kers. There are 4 settings
Long run allows the batteries to recharge in a similar mode to the road car and essentially you don't run out of electric power.
Q: for qualifying allows maximum performance with no recharge process. The batteries will run low after one or two laps, depending on the track and the driver. When the batteries are low after a run in Q, the driver switches to FC (fast charge) and the batteries will recharge in less than one lap. At the end of a run it is important to also fully charge the batteries before coming into the pits.
M: is for manual. Here the driver activates the kers when he wants it by pressing a button on the steering wheel. Very practical, allows better management of exit speeds and makes the batteries last a little longer (and is really cool!!)

    Hope this answers your questions!!

This is amazing information, very much appreciated! Your answers are exactly what I wanted.

I always prefer to get information on such technical details about these great cars, rather than just laptimes and such. Especially in regards to the FXXK, there are a ton of interesting things I would wish to know how exactly they work and perform, like for example tyre management and how long can the FXXK can be pushed on the limit (not qualifying pace, just normal racing). I have so many questions, but I dont want to become annoying and such.

    Thanks again for your feedback!

Mixing up the videos from the 2015 Ferrari World Finals and the recent 2-days of Corse Clienti at Mugello Circuit I was able to get one shot (at least) from 21 different Ks apart from the number 6. This is the final result:

    This is from Vallelunga:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vczCfcu1D10

Can anyone here identify which car this is?

I dont know who this guy is, but he has numerous videos behind the wheel of FXXK, 599 FXX , McLaren P1GT etc etc... He is taking part in most of these events so I am sure some of the owners here have met him/seen him.

I am amazed that considering the content he puts up he doesnt seem to be getting the attention he deserves. Definitely recommend checking out his youtube channel here:
