The CN36 is supposed to be released in a 215/60/15 size at some point this year. There is a N rated tire in the 205/55/15 & 225/50/15 already. Porsche currently recommends a Pirelli P6000

    The part # for 1974+ 7x15’s are # 911.361.020.11 and 8x15’s are #911.361.020.12. The 15 inch Fuchs part # changed in the 1980s but the wheel was the same – 7x15’s are # 911.361.020.41 and 8x15’s are #911.361.020.42.

IIRC the 960 I6 engine was a Porsche design so I guess it is OK.

Did the rear parcel shelf and speaker perforations change between 1976 and 1977 model years? Can someone please post pics?

Paul had that one priced pretty aggressively, not surprised it sold quickly.

I am getting my interior retrimmed and I would like a set of good reference photos to make sure I get things right. Can anyone help? For instance, the stitching on the rear seat bases sometimes runs front to back, and sometimes right to left, which is right? All help greatly received!

‘75/76 stitching runs front to back…here are some excellent reference photos - 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo | Symbolic International

’77+ stitching runs left to right and sometimes ’75/76 interiors are fitted with later non-period correct rear seats.

For years I tried to buy a 72 911S that color. At the time ( about 20 yeas ago) it had just about 20K miles and was owned by a woman who's previous husband had bought it new. He was a Porsche Club member from Madison WI. She still had it in the garage as of around 7-8 years ago as a friend lived near by and I asked him to check on it from time to time. .It also had the plaid cloth interior. It was original. I have also seen that color on 2 Mercedes 300 SL at a Santa Barbara Concours many years ago. owned by the same person. One was a gullwing the other a convertible. Also just last year a 190SL that color went thru an Auction and was sold overseas. I did not ask if any of the Mercedes were restored or original, however it seems a obscure but correct color that was ordered on some early German classics.

I believe the color to be original, the car resides in Italy and allegedly was at some point owned by F1 pilot Jarno Trulli ... At least that's what I heard a few years ago.

    One of a kind!
