Thank you for the VIN. The car in question DID race in the Italian challenge series in Europe: 1993 Inaugural Italian Ferrari Challenge season - Jean Gay #85 CH - One of the first ever 29 Ferrari challenge cars to race. 1994 - Jean Gay #65 CH 1995 - Jean Gay #85 CH I would say that car's history is excellent. Hope that helps. I would buy it quickly... Gone in 3, 2,1... Robb

I am surprised on this thread. 11 Responses but only 270 views. Think the 348 Challenge cars are still not on the Radar. Buy it, it seems to be a real good one, only Needs some love ;-)
One problem 348CH cars might have in general perception is that they seem pretty underpowered compared to their look; besides the "wooden wheels" issue. One may have some concerns to drive a car that looks like a race car but has less power than most hot hatches. The time of the 348CHs may however come, once their "historic" role as first challenge cars is being fully recognized! The "historic" challenge car community seems however yet to be in the early stages of development... Ira: could you tell us, how these 348CH drive?
Interesting is also, I know (sure ist not all and 100%) 3 cars for sale but only 1, this one we are talking is on the market, not more.
Same thread with more ansers. For me a real good 348 Challenge. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/challenge-gt-cars/520746-non-factory-348-challenge.html
Pretty cool car. About $80k US? I'd sure like more history on it. Intake plenum sure looks like an H version to me. Wonder about the rest of the engine...
