The Velocity Channel show Chasing Classic Cars with Wayne Carini featured the white one last season.
There were only two of these 3-seat Ferrari's built. The White one was the original first car built, and the original design - owned for many years by Luigi Chinetti, Sr. until his death upon which the son got it, along with everything else. The second car with the flip-tail rear spoiler was built for Agnelli.
It's funny how everyone seems to be making old Ferraris, some obscure models, yet no one makes a 64 Gto wich would be na instant best seller..go figure these guys!!!
Pedro you are so very correct!! Some of the choices are truly surprising....... and yet no '64 GTO, 330 LMB, 275 GTBC, 250 P, etc. And honestly I would rather see some really great quality models made rather than the low to mediocre quality pieces being cranked out like sausages. They are definitely aiming for quantity not quality.
I think we're getting spoiled. Not too long ago there wasn't much choice in 1/18 scale regarding classic Ferraris. Now there's a flood of models. Remember that Ferrari made so many different models, so be patient and maybe that 64 GTO will come eventually.
V12 Sportmodels has made a very beautiful 250 P in 1:18! https://sites.google.com/site/v12sportmodels/v12-sport/ferrari/s36-ferrari-250p-winner-le-mans-1963-scarfiotti---bandini-21-limited-40
I don't how many of you have this problem but other then BBR, I send emails to other model manufactures inquiring about purchases of 1:18 models with NO response back! I think BBR has their crap together, they actually have an online store for direct purchases unlike LookSmart and V12 Sportmodels... Two weeks ago, I sent an email as instructed on LookSmart's website about inquiring about their Ferrari 288 GTO EVOLUZIONE model... No response yet! Not a smart business move if you ask me!!!!
I have sent emails to looksmart, BBR and Tecnomodel inquiring future models and release dates...they all replied me....
I got an email back from V12 Sportmodels and the cost for their 250P is $390 Euros = $450ish in US... Its expensive!!! FYI!!!
You can try: Challenge 4 Fun - Modelcars - Contact or [email protected] And yes, they are expensive, but very beautiful and limited. I have already a few models of V12.
I have two models, 250TR'58 and 250TR'59 both are in a bad scale, probably 1:17 or less to use Burago TR'58 chassis. They are well done but impossible to show them near true 1/18 scale cars! See the pic!Top is a V12, the other is a CMC. All the best, Alessandro Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some newly posted pictures from Impressive Cars of the soon to be released Top Speed Ford GT. Can't wait to get mine. https://www.flickr.com/photos/impressivecars/26801397326/
My BBR 340 Vingale Mille Migla has been shipped... hoping to see it by the end of the week. Likewise, the Bburago 488 I ordered should arrive today.
Speaking of 1/18 LookSmart models, I saw a couple of Scuderia 16M's on eBay for preorder, however I Cannot find them on Looksmart's website. Anyone know anything about these ? The MR versions were nicely done and became somewhat valuable in many cases.
Yep I noticed that as well... I should have purchased the MR red version when I had the chance.... who knew the prices for their 16M cars would skyrocket.
I had the Matt grey 16M but I either sold or traded it before they became very expensive. One I wish I had kept..
Made in limited quantities for the Asia market only..unfortunately won't be seeing them anywhere. I completely missed the boat on the white one and am still upset about it.
