I was 44 when I purchased my 308. Interestingly, I was 35 when I purchased my S1 E-Type (always wanted the 308/328, but the opp to get the E-Type fell in my lap and I went for it).

10, cars were just mostly cars to me at the time until I saw the 308 in a car magazine, I think car and drivers in 1984?

36, never thought that I could afford it before 30, but I was wrong and really started researching and looking for one. I wanted specifically a GTB QV and it took me almost 3 years to find her.

    Hi Chaps

An outstanding response. Keep it coming as am enjoying the lighthearted and
    amusing stories.

Oh, bye the way I was 24 when I had my first Lambo.

Wife enquires as to how many owners are ladies?

    Regards

Seriously desired a ferrari from mid 20's when it became a definitive goal as opposed to childhood fantasy.
Achieved at 32 years and 10 months.

15 when I wanted one. The one that I ended up buying at age 33 was made the month after I turned 15 in December 1978. This is the first photo I took of it once I got it home in 1997.

    10 and 16

My love affair started around 10 years old when I saw magazines showing pictures of the 246 and 308's...

When I was 16 I found a used GT4 (needing some work) and so I sold my car and other items and with the help of my Dad I was able to buy it. One has to remember that the early 80's (Fall of '81 to be exact) a used GT4 was not as desirable as the GTB/S and so price-wise a used one was only slightly more than the mainstream sport cars. That being said being 16 and driving a GT4 to high school was a pretty slick.

    Cheers,

    Sam
