What is amazing is among 123 Maranello manufactured after mine, 64 are US spec. Means mine is also 60th from the end, but for all markets except US! This percentage (more than 50%) is higher than the average American car on the series (about 30%). Fred.
I saw that as well. I found it really fascinating. What's also interesting is that my car was delivered to its owner on 12/22/01 - pretty much at the very end of the year. I'm not sure if it was ordered by the dealership per Ferrari's request or by its first owner. Regardless, that's a pretty late delivery considering the 575M started to reach customers in early 2002.
Yes, those are the three preproduction 575Ms I have identified and documented here. Do not know much about 123764 because the only info I have is the SN in the workshop manual, probably Argento and Nero. The SN on 123765 lines up with Mar/Apr, but the AN 42157 matches with Jun/Jul or so and is in the middle of a batch of 550s SN 124XXX.
I own 125765 built in Sept. 01. I understand from Taz that it is one of the very last ones built, not sure how many were built after that?! It is for sale if any one is interested!
Frédéric- Thanks for the photo of 123764. Looked at Matthias' list again and it does indeed say Nero and Bordeaux (black/red). I remembered incorrectly. We have good photos of 123761 and, thanks to the owner, of 123765.
I own a 550 with october build 126043 ...I think it is around 30 from the last 550 as well as 124387 my barchetta... I believe a september build. Interestingly both of my cars were delivered to the original owner on the same day .. to different buyers .
I own 550 #126527 black/black with a date of 11/2001 on the door. Car was originally purchased from the dealer in CA 2002.
Thank you for the info on my car. My avatar is the only photo I currently have of it. The CEO of Edmonds.com was its original owner and Edmonds wrote a 2+ year long-term review as it was their first exotic. Having a well documented and published review of all the little details was quite valuable to me at the time and I had been searching for this specific car for several months expecting they would move it out of their fleet soon. Fortunately, they had put HRE wheels on it which made it easy to identify and it ended up less than 10 miles away from me. viabono's Profile Picture
I remember that review! A very entertaining read. It's gone from Edmunds' site, but can still be found via archive.org.

I am a bit envious on you 550 Jürgen... Great color combination by the way...
No Jürgen. The "Club Ferrari France" is accustomed to celebrate birthdays. Last year it was the 40 years of the 308, this year it is the turn of Maranello. We therefore met 18 Maranello in over twenty other Ferrari. Fred.
Thank you very much for your kind comment Clyde☺! Erik, as we nearly have sibilling car's I'm sure, your's will look even better than mine with the excellent paint job done! Every time, I'm driving mine, there is an additional stone chip...:-( ! Fred, interesting strory regarding the birthday's celebrations of each model. Like the idea behind it! Saluti, Jürgen
