Is this injector leaking?

That sounds like a really good move... Also, the inside of the manifold was really dirty and can't really be cleaned from those holes... It wasn't long after I did all that work that the engine had to come out so it was all disassembled and cleaned anyway

Very true, it was quite remarkable how much junk was in those manifolds. It was very satisfying cleaning all of that out and refinishing the intake.

So is it possible to remove the circlip first and remove the carriers and injectors together with the injector removal tool?

She gets driven a ton Mitchell! Those photos were during/post major service so everything was nice and shiny.

 

Alden, I removed the circlip first but the injector bushings stayed behind in the manifold unlike Franny's experience where the bushings came out with injectors.

 

Sounds like fun! I've never been to Alberta before, . . . and I like beer!

 

That engine looks incredibly cool, trying to get mine to look half that clean.
