Bought the car in Greensboro, NC, stopped to visit a friend in Watertown, TN, then home the following day (Dallas area).

I commonly drive the 328 on road trips 600 miles a day. Iit's almost a daily driver. I split the duties with a '15 C7 Stingray. When I need a larger "boot" I drive the C7. Otherwise it's the GTB.

I'm one of those people that enjoyed my 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60, and am enjoying my 70s....

They're just cars, ladies and gentlemen, drive 'em.... you only get this way one time. To quote myself:
"No one on his death bed ever said, 'I wish I'd driven the Ferrari less.'"

I’ve seen many Ferrari’s driving on the road but would never have guessed one day I would have one of my own. By soul I’m an American Muscle car guy, until one day this Italian car captured my heart. I’ve never seen such a car in my life I knew nothing of it or its value I only knew I had to have it. When I brought the car in for service at Auto Turismo Sport in Brookfield CT. Steve Mastroianni said to me “I’m glad to see someone finally appreciating these cars” I turned and said what about that V12 jaguar or that lotus espirt or even the lambo in his garage, he just shook his head and said “don’t even think about those cars, what you have found is something only people dream to have!” Age 42, 77 308 Dino 308 GT4

About 6 and bought when 26. Still have it today 21 yrs later. Can't see me buying another. More of an Aston driver now having matured. To be honest don't like modern Ferrari's and like the distinct different driving styles of the cars I have. Enzo era only for me.

In many ways it was an all-new experience, but in others just the fulfillment of a lifetime lust. I caught the sports car disease with a '54 MGTF in 1960 at age 18.

In '61 it was a new Vette, then on return from SE Asia in '65 I had three Porsches in succession ending when my wife got pregnant with twins in '70. So it was into BMWs and then on to other cars...

There's been a host of cars in between and over the years (50+) but when I had the money for an F-car there were demands of daily life (career Navy) that precluded such a purchase.

In 1990 I went back into Corvettes as daily drivers (I have more than 600K miles in Corvettes - the C7 "Stingray" is far and away the best Vette yet)...

...but almost three years ago I said, to myself, "If not now, when?" So, I looked for an "off color" B-model - was looking for blue - and I stumbled across the silver/argento 328.

I do enjoy the car... as I mentioned in an earlier post it's almost a DD - made a point to drive 18 miles to get an espresso today... thanks to Rifledriver (Brian Crall) it's as dependable as a "normal" car... and a whole lot more fun.

Planned for this at 19, after a lot of ROAD & TRACK and AUTOMOBILE magazine articles.

Got the 328 at age 39, satisfying my "Ferrari by 40" goal.

Sold that after 7 years. Tried other stuff, then re-upped with a "Ferrari by 50" goal.

Bought the 348 at age 48.

Fell in love with the 308 when I was around 9 years old. Bought my 308 QV in 2009 a few months before I turned 40, so got it at 39.

Drove (parking attendant in Hollywood '69) my first Ferrari, belonged to country singer Bobby Gentry. Couldn't believe how smooth akin to silk.

My first thought of owning one was after my first drive in a friends Silver/light Tan 308.

Again, like silk. At the time I was driving a '72 911 Targa, what a contrast.

So after almost pushing the button numerous times, thinking the prudent thing was to keep working, saving etc. I finally said "Why Not!"

Took my wife to see the car I had in my sights @ midnight driving back to the desert from Santa Cruz.

There it was in the window sitting profile, a Black/Black 328 GTB.

After my telling her all the design points, she said, "buy it".

So @ 61 I started my Ferrari ownership.
