Hope you don't hurt anyone including yourself. Remember those are not video game characters you are passing, and an unpredictable behavior on your part may provoke an unexpected response from a "non-race " driver. Remember when you hurt someone your videos and posts will be used against you. I wonder how pro drivers, I mean the real deal, drive on the street.
Driving on the autobahn at your cars vmax is legal in certain areas and other drivers know what to expect. The ford was not in Germany and the behavior is not legal anywhere especially in Germany. I've broken 180mph Singen to Stuttgart on the autobahn but spent the vast majority of the time in traffic at less than 60 mph
David Coulthard got nicked for speeding while on the latest Gumball, so I guess you could ask him how a professional driver feels about it? Haven't seen any video of me yet on YouTube, I'm sure it's coming, but then, the majority of people drive too slowly these days and then moan if anyone around them even looks quick, let alone is actually quick, so I don't think I'll be too concerned. As long as I exercise control and common sense, I imagine my no accidents record will stand me in good stead and continue indefinitely One mans opinion of danger is another's of perfectly safe, yet swift
It's apples to apples. You have different drivers in the states than you do in the UK and in Germany. Here they throw you the keys and you take a 15 minute test.. and off you go. In Germany, it's more expensive and there's more training. The people that you share the road with determine the safety of the driving experience as much as you do. Here in this part of the States I've had nitwits driving 50MPH in the left lane in a 65MPH highway. I've also had a idiot (literal sense) put her right blinker on, swerve left to cut me off.. then swerve again into the right most lane and exit the road. You can be a fantastic driver who isn't texting or yapping on the phone and actually *gasp* paying attention. This will prevent you from slamming into someone by 99%, but it won't protect that other driver from cutting you off in traffic.. causing the fatal accident. I suspect that might have been the case with that accident posted on here a few years ago in Florida with the 430 going triple digits... I suspect the two gentlemen in the Toyota(?) didn't see him oncoming and swerved into his lane.
If someone swerves into the faster car because of their Lack of attention, isn't it their fault, not the faster car? We all have responsibility on the road, it's not just the guy in the fastest car, otherwise I'm pretty much the boss of the road every time I drive somewhere..... I should get a badge, or a flashing light, or something! Haha
I sense karma coming your way. I just hope it is you, and not some innocent slow driver that pays for your attitude. Better drivers than yourself have learned the same lesson.

What a horrible thing to say, to wish another person to have a serious crash. You should be ashamed of yourself. I have an unblemished driving record, and the only crashes I've ever been involved in were on the track and racing incidents.
I read it more as "if/when something happens I hope you don't take someone else out." The conceipt is strong. What about just startling someone with a high speed pass on the shoulder? That's ok because.... Why? Everyone's "time and place for everything" is at a different level. I totally agree there are times 130plus is no problem on the street (I'm a Ducati guy) but many vehemently disagree no matter how empty the road. I personally don't see how weaving in traffic like the video of the gt40 can be defended. The racing license issue just sounds comes across as "I'm better than the sheep so the laws don't apply to me"
He didn't say IF, he said it would, and wished it on me. That's a demonstration of someone with no brain as far as I'm concerned. It wasn't me in the video, and I referenced my own experience of gumball, not his wet dreams of it
He said he "senses" karma coming your way. Probably not the wisest choice of words but I don't think he meant it as WHEN and not IF either.
Let's hope so eh? Why do these forums have to get so personal. Attacking people about things they haven't even done....
Usually a person that thinks they are above circumstance ends up being proven wrong. Maybe that is not the definition of karma. Driving like ****** is fine, as long as you are the only one that would be affected when things go wrong. I don't think that driving like ****** in the vicinity of other motorists, no matter how much you think people are wet dreaming about how cool you are, is acceptable. I actually followed a kid home that was driving like my wet dream in an A6 Audi the other day. He actually started crying when I told his parents what would happen to him if I saw him driving like that ever again. They assured me that he wasn't going to be driving that car anymore.
F430 outer tail light loose/broken http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=501928 Seems he may be correct on this one, but poorly designed tail lights doesn't destroy the model or brand for me.
I believe daytona355 offers a very rare and interresting perspective on all this. Simply because most that share his enthusiasm to drive "Swift" on public roads have possibly become Deceased.
I'm sorry, I've been contributing to the thread. Rickety back, or whatever, decided to have a swipe at me, which I think was over the line, and I told him so. That is not trolling, that is replying to a personal attack, very different. If I wanted to be a troll I would surely be firing off inane comments on every little thing
So, are you a cop then? Why on earth would you follow a young man home to remonstrate with him and his parents? Unless you are a cop, I find it extremely unlikely this actually happened, particularly in the US where gun ownership is totally legal, and a stranger arriving having chased a son home could easily get shot I think you are taking gumball, bullrun and the like way too seriously. You are also judging me when you have no actual information upon which to base your judgement. Maybe have a lie down
Actually, the proper name would be "When Ferrari's that are actually driven (and not just polished) break" If you think some low rent idiot is beating on his F-cars, think again. They don't have $3000/day to rent a car, along with putting up a $7500 cash security deposit. His cars may get driven, but no way in hell they are abused. And how exactly do you abuse tail lights, anyway? This Rob guy has ten-fold more credibility than anyone here since he owns a Ferrari fleet that actually gets driven. If he says tail lights get loose, then they get loose. If yours do not, it's because you've put 2000 miles on it in the last 5 years.
