But they're not even in the same car... The comparison is inane.

If max had beaten Ricci it would have been curtains for him I reckon

Curtains for who? Vettel or Ricci?

Vettel didn't even beat Kimi. If you aren't beating kimi you know you aren't driving well

Stupid to compare max to seb as the Ferrari isn't as fast of the RB in Spain. Ricci I've always felt was underrated.

I'm liking Max outside of the car:
"My target today was just to enjoy it, not to try and beat my team mate"

Remember all the Vettel hype during the RB days? People were saying nobody can squeeze performance out of a car over one lap like Vettel.

Then reality hit when Ricci wiped the floor with him.

Now Vettel is having a tough time with a pensioner. King of poles....LOL

I'm not a vettel fan. He smart and fun to watch in interviews, but like anyone else its about the car. He's making the right moves and will be a wdc again to cement his status.

Max has the talent, he needs to harness his emotions and mature. Once he can do that, he's going to be tough to bet given the right car.

Lewis has the talent and the car. He's been very lucky in his career like vettel.

Ricciardo has the speed and the demeanor, he also needs the car.

Rosberg has his year this year. He'll be like his father and get the wdc under his belt.

Next year will favor other people IMO. The dominance from Merc will end

Lewis who? There looks to be a new sheriff in town, now that the Red Bull is improving we may get to see how fast Max really is. We know who has the best car by a huge margin, but there is now a legitimate question of who is fastest and the best at passing.

First Dutchman to win. Youngest winner in F1 ever. Max did it superb today.
First race in a new team... who could expect such a result.
    Memorable day in F1.

In an unfamiliar car, in his first outing. It is extraordinary really. Hats off to the kid and his off-track commentary and behavior is very, very respectful.

Yep, but perhaps it points out that these cars are too easy to drive?

Indeed too early to tell, although a bet on a Verstappen WDC at one point in time seems a pretty safe one.

Whatever happens; normal service will resume in Monaco wenn Mercedes will claim their subscription to the podium.

He could be; he bloody well could be.

I only hope he doesn't become big-headed about his talent.

What Max did in Spain reminded me of MS in Spa in the Jordan. Back then I said (to my GF as there was no internet) that guy is the next Senna.

Just wait and see. The really great ones adapt instantly
