Greatness: Quite possibly. Legendary status (As MS achieved): It's still too early to say. Max raced incredibly well and deserved the victory, but let's not forget that there were two cars that handed him that win. Had Rosberg and Hamilton not been so silly, then chances are Max would have been 3rd. When Max takes the fight to the Mercedes pair, and beats them both, in an equal or lesser car, then we'll see the possibility of him being the next MS. If you've read any of My posts about Max then you'll already know that I'm a massive fan of his (I've even compared him to Gilles Villeneuve, which for Me is massive praise for a driver!), but all it takes is a couple of season's in a bad car, or a wrong choice of teams to drive for, and an F1 career can soon become very mediocre (take Alonso at McLaren as a prime example!). Had Lewis Hamilton remained faithful to McLaren, would he be a 3 times WDC now? - I seriously doubt it based on what happened to them since Hamilton won his WDC with them in 2008! Had Vettel moved from Torro Rosso to a team other than Red Bull, would he have 4 WDC's to his name? - Chances are, no he wouldn't, but Mark Webber might have had a couple to his name! The point I'm making is that the potential to be one of the all time greats can easily be scuppered by being in the wrong car or the wrong team at the wrong time - Hence My saying that it's still too early to say Max will achieve "MS" status in F1.
No but I loved that victory. I watched it in our hotel lobby in Nice. We just came back from the Historic GP in Monaco
...Which was most likely far more interesting than the F1 GP....the Ferrari 12-cylinder certainly sounded much better coming out of the Tunnel than modern F1. And the grandstands were crowded on Sunday, apparently it was sold out.... Gesendet von meinem SM-G800F mit Tapatalk
Yeah, it was a blast: I managed to get press credentials and full access to track and pits. It was unreal. I walked around the entire track to get the cars from all kinds of angles, tunnel included. Rascasse was my fav spot
Oh, so we most likely passed each other...I was shooting all weekend as well...Unfortunately there was again no photographers hole in the Tunnel...I was told they might change that for the actual GP, to late for us though Gesendet von meinem SM-G800F mit Tapatalk
Oh, I thought you were talking about yesterday....But I was there 2012 as well ☺ Gesendet von meinem SM-G800F mit Tapatalk
