I'm happy to do AM site prep. I got a 12.5 turkey ready to fry. Do you need 20lbs of ice again? What time you want me to be there and when is 1st turkey in fryer. I can be guinea pig and get that turkey done and Chris can pick it up and we can be done with that. You OK with trying to fry some spiralized potatoes? Not sure how well it works but could taste great or be a total failure. If yes do you have a bucket with holes in it to put potatoes in?
I'm going to try to be early as well to help get things ready. Hopefully traffic on the 91 won't be bad as it's a Saturday, but still about a two and a half hour drive, so I'll time it the best I can. Henry
DAMN ! uhhm if you ever need some nerd to hand the salesgirls the pamphlets count me in! meanwhile back to the Stooge!
Don: I'm planning to leave at 10:00 and Chad is meeting at my house. Let me know if you plan to be there (in the back driveway area). We can discuss at lunch tomorrow.
Okay Stooges, I got a list of about 30 of you coming so this could be the most chaotic event yet. Plus I have maybe another 8 or so maybes. Mostly 355's and 348's, but looks like an older and some newer models. The street is going to look like a Ferrari dealership. With this many, it's important to know exactly who is doing work on their cars. Copy and reply so I know how many projects we need to get through. I enlisted Bruce as the shop master. Let us know what you want to do and coordinate with Bruce so you get a pad on the driveway and help to get 'er done.
i was going to ask if you have a grill. im getting dizzy from all the "deep frying" talk. I'm not in my 20's anymore and trying to stay away from too much grease. The only oil I use nowadays are 5W-40 and KY Jell. 😇😬😇
Turkey frying is about the cleanest way to do this since about 2 tablespoons get in the entire turkey. It's PEANUT OIL anyway (disclaimer LOL). Might be an issue for those allergic. Seriously, fried turkey breast has 0 oil/fat in it and is the moistest and juiciest. We have wings and tri-tip. I might have something else I can rustle up. We have a BBQ for the wings, so if there's something you want to grill, bring it. I got tons of potatoes that I was going to slice for the fryer. FBB, if you want to spiral them bring the tool and we can see what happens. I can also do them in the oven broiler. Plus Barbara makes the absolute best camp fire potatoes in the world. Uses our fresh rosemary, onion and butter, wrapped in foil and tossed on the fire. We have chopped Italian salad and whatever else shows up. Plenty of sweets, I think. Should be something everyone can eat. If you have doubts, just bring what you like and we'll cook it up.
Hi guys , I just moved into the area and Bruce Bogart introduced me to the Stoogefest . What time do you guys start and where ?. Thanks Trung
Can't make it out. Call weekends got moved around, this is now my weekend. Nice. Was looking froward to meeting you guys.
We expect quite a large turnout! Please be kind to our host so we are invited back. Plan to take your changed fluids with you if you are doing fluid changes. We have done it all, brakes, oil, gearbox, even A/C Summer is coming if your A/C is not working we can charge them. We got tools for R12 and R134 but let us know if you need to do that.
FBB: Is the 355 R-12 or R-134? If anyone needs any last minute items or oil, Pep Boys web site has 20% off parts and 15% off oil if you order online and pick up in the store. A 5 qt case of Mobil 1 is $29.99.
Just an oil change for me, so it should be a quickie. After that I'm more than willing to help out with other services, or kitchen/grill duty. Henry
Yes, it's highly recommended that your car doesn't piss-out super blue brake fluid all the way down Vince's driveway when you leave.
I never even thought of AC, would be a great idea. what would I need to buy to recharge it? Just one of those r134a recharge kits from pep boys?
+1 on the address. I can only hang out for 2-3 hours then have to go work unfortunately so I can pay for my 355
