Grant was also partially responsible for the Carrera GT; Extreme Machines: Porsche Carrera GT Tony Lapine credits another (not KO or Larson) for the 996 but makes no mention of Grant on the Carrera; https://books.google.com/books?id=PTGIAAAAQBAJ&pg=PA9&lpg=PA9&dq=grant+larson+porsche+carrera+lapine&source=bl&ots=3Cr4KenLWU&sig=3mWS3MRxiGRIKp_Y4Xfzvqf2bPg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjek-mo3ubMAhWMMSYKHRp0CG0Q6AEIJDAB#v=onepage&q=grant%20larson%20porsche%20carrera%20lapine&f=false
Thanks for creating an NSX design thread on my behalf, but, sorry, I have zero interest is doing any 'real' research to determine KO's involvement with the NSX's design, or lack thereof. I'll leave that to you & others, whilst noting that when I do get round to dedicating time for research I'm confident I can get the job done The Lamborghini Miura Bible ? Joe Sackey | Joe Sackey Classics & The Book of the Ferrari 288 GTO ? Joe Sackey | Joe Sackey Classics The fact remains that even though there is some doubt, you can't prove that KO had nothing to do with the NSX, either. As soon as I see a verifiable declaration by KO himself that he had nothing to do with the NSX's design, I'll be all-too-happy to amend my thinking, which, admittedly, is currently based on the weight of what I see online. Here is what I do have an interest in doing: Helping my son who I perceive to be a future star in the business sell his NSX. It has to be the nicest conditioned 14-year-old car of any kind I have ever come across, and I'm certain its the best value NSX you can buy today. That much is indisputable! Generally agree with Joe's post above, but since this thread was split off, I find it very interesting. Reminds me very much of the Datsun 240Z / Albrecht Goertz design controversy. For years, Goertz was credited with the design of the 240Z, but historical data now suggests otherwise. Plenty of info on the net about it, so I won't go into it here. In any event, I did not realize Ken Okuyama had much to do with the NSX, but I do see plenty of reference to his involvement. Seems to be acknowledged but not confirmed.
