At this point I doubt there's anyone left who can't ID the Lola Mk6, so to keep this puppy rolling along... Image Unavailable, Please Login Clearly, I've been inspired by the recent Gremlin thread.
I didn't find your car in my internet search but I found this crazy thing instead. a 1965 NSU GT concept car. Hard to believe there were so many Gremlin-like car designs in that era. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Innocenti Giugiaro? That popped into head, and I can't find corroboration anywhere. Campy's, midget wheelbase, and general resemblance to wedge of Parmesan leaves country of chassis fairly solid. An FSO/Skoda possible as GG was doing stuff for everyone then.
Sweet. I thought OTAS at one point, then forgot. Googled 112 and got sidetracked. At least I'm not completely sucking here, need to trust hunches. Post up a kit car, a little boite-de-merde, or a Checker, would you please, oh diva diviner of the GTC??
Excellent! Looks like we're getting the band back together. Now we just need to dig up a few more of our old bandmates from the classic lineup: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not an unknown, nor a guess. Just a fun find too easy for an unknown whilst looking. Also, post whoring Is, the unknown looks huge. 2 or 4 door, guessing 2? Park lights on bumper original to chassis? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Or stevedores are XXS . Not certain on door count. Car is being sold FOB, all parts are as shown in their pamphlet.
That I'm aware, 2, 3, and 5 door versions were built. Can't tell for sure which version we're looking at in Is' pic.
Fidi-esque. Murrican drivetrain? Not seen HL config on Fidia/Kyalam/Deauville/375 BTW, mea culpa. I'm coughing, feel lousy, and am enjoying myself. I just am free associating. Wayne and Is you're getting my neurons to fire. TY 130 hearse classy. So Italian. Front too delicate and production based to be that godawful Thunderbird thing, they were only 3d. Mureno? Too ugly to google
L.Wayne knew it from the first inkling of flame surface but all excellent guesses. Not Murrican but hurricane. .
Frua BMW, phlegm surfacing? That narrow 68-70 window, I can't tell wheels but really deep dish, probably Borrani widened steelies. Flat hubcap looks BMW. Headlights distinctive, I got nothing. Hurricane-lost.
OMG. I was on the wrong damn continent. Sweet split window. I think I personally posted one of these years ago. IKA Torino Lutteral Comahue. Rambler American meets bad 63 Vette impersonator meets cross-eyed production engineer. Found a variant with potato eyes too. Same grille and bumper. Renault Torino TS. And one from AR with W122 headlights. I guess I need to ask for more nowadays. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes Iso. Ran across some old posts trying to get mojo back. Ran across Iso->OSI; OSI->Iso. As surmised for both of you others reading this, Is guessed a GAZ Sebring, aka GAZ Siber. Profoundly reinforcing my faith in Russian carbuyers, it was a Chrysler Sebring, itself a crap car, re-engineered by GAZ. Capacity was for 40000 cars/year, up to 100k/yr. Over 2 years, they built 9000 cars, 2500 in final year. Would have been cheaper just to buy unsold stock from Chrysler dealers and airfreighted them to peoples homes. Roll the footage Is
That was a really good one. I absolutely KNEW it had American roots. But yet I had never seen it before. Well done! Matt
Forgot to include basis for the IKA. Ever the contrarian, I picked a 69 SC/Rambler v.2, and a 4 door 64 as most were sold to represent the tool before sent to SA. Added the convert as it matches the Benz lighted one. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
