NBC just broadcast to all viewers in the U.S. that the team made a mistake calculating an algorithm and apologized to Lewis last year for costing him the race.
Dayum danny totally gutted. Not whining or anything, but just letting it all out...just wants to get outta there and not speak with anyone.
So the team called him in for tyres according to Ricci, right? Maybe there was some confusion about which tyres to put on causing the delay? Any news from Horner yet?
If Hamilton had any dignity he would have said that he was gifted the race by a complete and utter **** up of the Red Bull team. But of course he doesn't. Hugging Justin Bieber? Says it all really. WANKER.
Enjoyed watching most of the race, plenty of good and bad, some good racing, some bone-head mistakes. Great discussion here on Fchat like always, other than the folks that are so biased that they contribute nothing, and yes, ignore is my friend too. Feel bad for Ricciardo, two wins lost due to team strategy/tires. Haven't heard why Kimi hit the wall at the hairpin, just locked up in the wet? He didn't help the Haas team any. Sauber: See rule #1, See Mercedes Spain 2016, Do not take out your team mate, especially if teammate was ordered to let your through in the next two corners anyway. Verstappen's move up through the grid, despite hitting the walls this weekend, holy smokes, and he wasn't on the upgraded engine like Ricciardo. Maybe he just needs to stay away from Monaco like the Williams guys!
Sure, brake problems, at lower speeds than usual, with fairly low tempratures, and even in rainy conditions (more brake cooling) when they use their brakes far less than in dry conditions. Another Mercedes made up reason to cover up a team call.
Dont worry the press is saying exactly that 'Handed the opportunity' 'gifted the lead'. The ego wont let any natural humility through. The race was lost by Red Bull. Deep down he, LH knows it. In a place like Monaco you dont always win by being fastest. Thats the problem with the place to begin with. This was Red Bull's race to lose and did exactly that today. Its racing!
Why do you guys keep responding to a guy who simply comes here to stir a pot and enjoy the reactions? This is a fact. Some of you guys keep letting his nonsense get a reaction from you and that ultimately just encourages Toil to keep stirring. We all know everyone is entitled to their opinion but honestly ask yourself why a person would come to a Ferrari site and do nothing but badmouth everyone except Hambone. He loves to stir and he keeps getting the reaction he wants. Finally as displayed by his posts quoted above, when he is not getting a response he throws out some subtle attacks to get it going again. Please ignore. People who want nothing but to stir a fight will finally move along when they find no fight to stir.
But Mercedes brakes somehow don't...... Is there someone at Race control with a degree in rocket science ?
steve355f1- Lewis drove a good race - end of! Really what F1 should be about and credit should be given when it is due. Danny only put him under real pressure on overtake 1 time in the whole race. On balance I do think Danny is over due a race win on merit and effort and if the red bull keeps improving and the team cut out the mistakes it is bound to happen.
I was going to say "seriously?", but I can understand as a Ricci fan/fellow Aussie. I don't think Ricci acknowledged his gifted wins in 2014 though....and I don't believe he's obliged to do so.
Shame for ricciardo today, and that Nico had brake trouble. Still, Elton can't claim it was all him this race win, down to Mercedes pitwall calls to let him through (as he couldn't drive past) and red bull not getting the pit stop right, ricci was way way quicker
Win #44 for #44 in MONACO and Mr Sid in hiding. Sunday mornings don't get better than this. Time to hit Tahoe.
Surely you jest? I'm a Ferrari fan first and foremost. Beyond that I have no allegiance, but of course I want Daniel to do well. Daniel is mature enough to acknowledge when some luck goes his way. Wanker tries to pretend it's all down to his own skill when he wins, and all down to bad luck when he doesn't. If you can't see that you must be a Belieber... The truth is he won today entirely because RedBull ****ed up.
Quite a shame indeed. Red Bull now seems to have surpassed Ferrari. And if we can believe the ragained confidence of McLaren/Honda, they aren't far behind either.
They are sliding backwards and no traction in sight. ~A company that initiates it's IPO, value drops they have bigger concerns then F1. ~They spend most of their time shelling out BS they don't know what the truth is. ~Internally one hand does not know the other exists much less work together. Write them off for the next few years or until a new CEO who gets it.
Nobody said he didn't win by luck, and nobody said he didn't lose due to bad luck last year. I'm saying than MANY drivers have benefitted from the misfortunes of others and none of them is obligated to credit the person with the misfortune. You play the hand you're dealt. "Belieber"...man you're so far off you may be in Antarctica vs Adelaide. No need to insult me when I'm simply giving you an explanation as to why NO driver is obligated to say another driver's misfortune gave them the win.
I wonder if Sergio Sweater now has changes in mind - Arrivabene - to leave? Kimi - to leave and bring in a driver to push Vettel rather than 'keep the peace'.
Agree...the Scuderia is nowhere, which is what Freshmeat was telling us throughout testing and up until now. All hype, no results. Arrivabene is in trouble (which I think is quite unfortunate)
