thank you to everyone who has helped out above.... as many might not have realised, i am located pretty far away! however i'll try taking every route possible as advised and lastly resort to getting a local guy who fabricates aluminium radiators to do the necessary and will update accordingly.... cheers....
Its a really easy mistake to make. Some ten years ago, as I jacked my car up I suddenly saw the whole panel in front of the rear wheels bowing in front of my eyes as I jacked up the car. I let it down so fast and luckily the panel went back to its original shape. It was really a salutary lesson. I'd jacked up the car many times before so I felt rather stupid but very relieved that I got away with it. Still got the same radiator in the car some 30,000 miles later as well!!
Some may think I am crazy, but I put some paint marks on the jack points just in case. Then again, I put P-touch labels under the hood on my cars with oil capacity, drain plug size, and lug bolt torque.
Had something similar with my 930. Some idiot jacked it up by the floor pan. Get home, and see the foot rest area by the rear seat pushed up 3 inches on both sides. Pissed, I pounded it out myself... I intend to paint yellow circles on the lift points this summer. Suggest others do the same...
A bit OT, but this is exactly why it is a terrible idea to mount 6pt harness anchors with big washers to the floorpan. It is sadly done all the time. I would not be surprised if poor harness mounting contributes to more visits to you doctors.
Superformance.co.uk supply the uprated rads. Also oem stock. If they ship to the states it'll be a lot cheaper than the ebay listing.
