With past Ferrari models, problems that are unique to that car (whether from a design/engineering flaws, production/manufacturing problems, etc.) have surfaced over time. Examples include valve guides and manifolds issues on the 355 or variator problems on the 360. Has anyone heard of any consistent issues with the 488 that would suggest a pattern?

I'm no 458 expert (full disclosure), but I don't recall hearing about any glaring flaw in the car that needs to be addressed (please correct me if I'm wrong). If that's the case, hopefully the same will be true for the 488.

Owning a 458 since Feb 2012, my car has not experienced any serious problem(s).

With that said, my electronics "act up" on occasion, flashing something clearly not true and only momentarily. Rarely, but on occasion, my rear camera malfunctions, but only for a moment or two.

As in life, owning a "pure bred" brings with it problems seldom experienced with a "mongrel". Best

The 458 issue was the adhesive in the wheel well that would lead to fires. Fires were rare, but that's what I remember.

The only problems I see is ONE F car is not enough.

Too many good ones to choose from including the new Torque Monster!

There was an early problem with fuel pump or line that's long resolved . A few glitches in the radio system . Otherwise the car is really really awesome !

Are you referring to the 488 or the 458?

This was a system wide recall in November (I think) for the 488 and Cali T? Mainly affected cars outside of the US (At least for the 488)

The only issue I've seen (and had myself once) is that the stereo sound suddenly stops working. There is a thread about it somewhere. It happened to mine (standard stereo) and the poster of the thread (upgraded stereo) and several others on Fchat. Seams to resolve itself after letting the car sit for a few hours or plug into the tender (what I did)? The consensus is that its a software from JBL or the Ferrari interface?

If you can hear the radio in my car there is something wrong with the car. I guess fcar has come a long way with this turbo v8 plant!

I find the wireless media in the 488 takes a few minutes to match up and start playing music from my phone whereas in the Aperta its almost instant

Hmm , guessing firmware update that Aperta has. Should be resolved on the GTB as well soon

My 488 GTB Have a weird noise in the engine compartment. They told me they will put 26 microphones to try localisé the origin exactly. Hoped it won't be something serious... Also the parking sensors doesn't work properly...

In auto mode it seems to be running a gear higher than it should
    Anybody else notice that ?
