Does anyone have a photo of the seat lifter in the F12. Ive found a previous thread but the photos do not show it so well. I purchased the parts from Ferrari to retrofit it and I would like to get a general idea of what it looks like. Thanks in advance.

Yes exactly. I bought all the parts. Just would like a few photos as to how it goes together. The Ferrari online workshop manual doesn't show anything.

    Thanks

That helps. I really would like close up photos of how the seat bolts to the mounting base which has the tilt mechanism. I'm going to have to remove my seat, remove the original base without the tilt and install the new base I purchased that has the tilt feature as well as installing the handle and trim piece.

Thanks for the help. Is it possible someone can send me a picture of what the highlighted screw attaches to. Maybe a photo from under the seat. My seat does not have that hole drilled into it and I would like to see whats behind it for retrofitting.

I will document my retrofit for anyone else.

This is a more close up picture I have found online. The bracket is part of the tilt seat base, but the hold would need to be drilled in the seat and then attached and I would like to see how the factory attaches that.

It cannot be done. The bottom of the seat is completely different between a car with seat lifter or without. I bought all the parts, my dealer disassembled a seat of a car that did have the lifter to compare and unfortunately it's not possible to do. I was out $2500 in parts.

What I ended up doing was machining some square spacers which I placed between the rails and the carbon seat and powder coated them black. You really can't see them. Lifted the seat 1.25" which was perfect for me.

If you need more help or info let me know

Was just about to ask how much the parts cost you. Sorry to hear that it didn't work. I got excited when i saw the right hand drive photos above. I already got the option for my drivers seat, but my wife is petit. Figured i could buy the parts and retrofit it to the passenger seat as well.

Guess i won't be doing that after all. Would be nice to see pics of your spacer solution though :)

What does this lifter do ? Just allow one to raise the seat pan height ? Does it have any other function ? At 6'7" I need the seat as low as possible so I didn't order the option. Is there any reason I should have ordered it given my large size ?

It does indeed allow you to raise the seat vertically. The F12 has a massive bonnet, so its hard for a short driver like myself (165cm) to see the entire front. Even if you are tall, the visibility is not perfect. I would imagine with your height, raising the seat would make the top of your head touch the roof liner.

I have lowered the seat all the way down just to compare the minimum to the maximum (I'm about two pulls from maximum when I'm in the seat). My guess is that the minimum height with this option is the same as not having the option at all, as the seat would simply just sit on the rails attached to the chassis.

I think you are good. You saved a few thousand dollars on an option you don't need.

Thanks Tupps. Much appreciated. I didn't want to have to alter my build spec at this point and piss off Ferrari.

the seat with the lifter sits higher than the seat without lifter by about half an inch. I measured them side bye side. When you have the lift mechanism you have the rails, base with lift mechanism then the seat.

When you have no lifter, the rails are bolted directly to the seat.

So the seat lift mechanism definitely adds about half an inch.
