    NO vent: #626 -- a 1973 4.9Bora -- US designated car, always in SoCal.
Always thought perhaps the vent started with 4.7 Euro models first, but not confirmed yet exactly. Jacques' offering may fit that profile... we need a lot more S/N data points and distinction as to whether US or Euro. My preference is w/o, as car never overheats here (tho' stoutly driven) and the styling just seems better (less clutter). IMHO.
Move this topic to "The Bora" ??

Morons. Of course have a look at this idiotic project they did.

    Wheeler Dealers » AMC Pacer

I just watched this episode and that project was an epic failure.

I saw this one a while ago now and the guy did a nice job, really went through it not just a bunch of silly geometric graphic wrap and interior flocking.

But then what Maserati does well WO it's heart?

The fuse box is not too hard to fix. It's the same issue Ferraris of the same vintage had. Far too many people didn't replace it and didn't do the factory issued upgrade either.
Maserati aka Detomaso was pretty bad as an organization at the the time too.
Mine is still perking along quite nicely after all these years and it took 1st place last year at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.

A friend of mine in No Ca also has an early Mistral with bolt on wheels. Very rare but now I know of two. Certainly the taillights are unique. I could not place them on another car. I wonder where they cam from

Interesting, the seller indicates the car is the 56th off the line with a 3.5L engine..
I have 109.102, which should be the 51st, and it has a 3.7L engine...

Beware RHD Sebring in the UK at enrico's site

Seems the guy is doing it every year: buy a wreck, advertise as if restoration is stopped for some private reasons, pretend he is selling it privately and then sells it though his car dealership.

Watch out and get your own idea, especially if all parts are included?

    Copied text from the add:

"Here are the details of my Maserati Sebring:

This matching numbers Maserati Sebring, chassis number 009, was the tenth series 2 Sebring to be built and the second with right hand drive from only 22 RHD in total. Released from the factory in March 1965 it was finished in Rosso Cordoba with Natura interior and supplied with Boranni wire wheels. Registered in the UK on 5th April 1965 it was delivered to a Maserati enthusiast and early member of the Maserati club who, remarkably, used the car up until 1989 when he dismantled it for restoration.

When he died in 2002 the panel repairs were complete - with new door skins, sills, wheel arches, valances and lower wings - but the restoration was otherwise unfinished and the car has been in storage since then.

Roused from its slumbers in 2016 it is newly repainted to Concours standard in its original and very startling Rosso Cordoba colour scheme and its original ‘Natura’ leather interior has been fully refurbished and is in quite remarkable condition, ready to be re-fitted.

Perhaps most importantly, however, this is not just a jumble of old parts; all the components have been de-greased, cleaned, labelled and sorted and are in proper storage crates with inventory. Many of the parts are either new or already reconditioned.

A change of plan means that this project is to be sold uncompleted and as such represents a rare opportunity for a new owner to complete a rebuild/re-assembly to concours standard with the difficult (and expensive!) panel, paint, and interior already complete. Classiche certified and with some interesting early history.

Click on this dropbox link to see photos of the car and components

The car is in storage in Warwickshire and the price is £125,000

Well ... that was the esteem in which these cars were held not that long ago ... Ghiblis too.
I remember a very nice looking 3500 spider that got bumped out of 1st place at CI because it had a 327 under the hood. That was much longer ago. It was beautiful other than that. Frank will remember, there was quite a kerfuffle at the time ...

Oh I agree, such a person should be committed instead of taking this one on ... LOL :D

Ghibli's just are not that rare or valuable to be worth what it would take. Perhaps as a high school or trade school shop learning project but then the parts expenses would make that prohibitive as well.

But it says that it's an extremely desirable project car! And with a Chevrolet motor, automatic transmission, air conditioning and wire wheels, how can you go wrong!?!? I even still has some of the glass!

Oh I hope there comes a day when people look back at these ridicule-filled posts and wonder how it was possible that people thought that way.
