University of Glasgow. I have been known, on occasion, to embarrass myself on a golf course. I have a fast swing and can hit the ball pretty far, much to my consternation sometimes. I don't play enough to get used to the distances and often overshoot the green with my irons. I can't putt for beans, either. My best ever round was 100 (without handicap). It's far too expensive a sport for me to have kept it up and improved my game throughout university. My Saint Andrews connection was via Domino's Pizza. I was an attending area manager helping to get the new location there up and running to a high standard by conducting constant internal operations inspections. I've since hung up my pizza hat (and clipboard) and the franchise I worked for recently sold its stores, so I've no connection there any more. I've driven by the Old Course many times, but have never been in. All the best, Andrew.
I'll try & not hold that against you. Ahh, OK, gotcha. I'm no golfer either - way too much time needed for my taste. But, I did do the reservation system at the Old Course Hotel years back - the one on the 17th fairway - Even had the room with a 'balcony' on which many balls wound up for a while. I walked it a couple of times, but kinda felt hacking round in ~100 (or so) wouldn't be quite 'right' somehow. Staggered back over the Swilcan bridge after many a happy night though. Cheers, Ian
Honestly i thought this looked pretty cool until I looked at the prices dear god. I could easily just bribe my way in to the after parties and save thousands. Lol
