1977 Ferrari 308 GT4 Dino
I could have exlained it more thoroughly. The dealers usually filled in the depression with body filler, drilled new holes and put the Ferrari emblem over the same spot. The actual bulletin said to put the Ferrari emblem above the Dino one but most dealers didn't do that because it looked stupid. Robert Garven has the full bulletin and I printed it out but can't find the electronic copy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have the full bulletin electronically, but it's too big to post here. I have Adobe professional at work, and I'll try to see if I can shrink the file size and post it here tomorrow.
"the only reason im selling the car is because i dont drive it as much as i should, but i do drive it down the block every once in a while to keep the oil and everything flowing good. " "The only thing i would recommened if you buy this vehicle is a very good buff..." Really? I'm thinking it's a full restoration project that will cost a lot.
Mmmm, that looks like one sweet stereo system, though. The car looks like a dog, but I'm impressed that he didn't ask $75K like another shop in Beverly Hills would do. In their defense, though, they do publish a bunch of photos to sort of show what you'll be buying.
I agree. Last year BHCC would have bought it for $30k and asked $75k but not his year. They have 2 GT4's on eBay as good or better than this one between $35-$46k and they don't seem to be going anywhere. I would say listed/relisted for over 4 months. I'd say they are stuck with a few more cars than they would like in this town turn.

Selling my super clean 1977 308 GT4. It will be going to Steve Barney to his newer place Sport Auto. Running out of Room.... This was last weekend at the Highlands N.C. car show. Patrick Ottis did a ton of work on the car when it was in California. One of the top 10 1977 GT4's out there. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/5609096182.html I've seen and test driven this car. Avoid this seller. NOT nice. Feel free to PM me for details.
I spotted this listing in Hemmings... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/subscription.php, a 1976 308 GT4 at Gullwing Motor Cars in Astoria, NY. Color is Pino Verde Metallizzato over Tan, and the asking price is $56,500. No S/N provided. It's a tired Series I car with a chunk of tin worm on the passenger side, but looks complete with XWX rubber and an original single Astro III mirror. Possible evidence of a small fire on the cam belt end of the engine, but nothing devastating. Looks like the early Series 1 US bumper, which I don't think is consistent with the 1976 model year.

not sure where to post this one as Im not sure its even for sale. I was looking at a Jensen-Healey on craigslist and noticed this poor guy parked in front of it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It has the early bumpers (74-75). S1 front grille and facia. I has the 3 levers on the left side of the dash. I am going out on a limb and saying they do not have a '76 car here. It is either '74 or early '75. The VIN would tell us all. Nice color! A worthy, mostly complete project (less rust) for somebody that has the time.
why is the Ferrari Market letter so off on Pricing. the latest issue....... I had someone not buy my car because of that. And my car is super clean, all up to date, engine etc. one of the best '77's in America.
Maybe it's not that far off or maybe the buyer just didn't take into account the condition of your car. What are you asking for a '77 GT4? I love my GT4 but I knew the past history of the 308 market when I bought it. It's part of reasons I bought my 308 QV and GT4, to me they are iconic cars that are still way too cheap. Even though they weren't very many GT4's built and I'm sure a lot of them were neglected and I would think parted out over the years since they were so cheap it would only make sense that they have to go up. Right? The last yew years has seen a rise in prices (strong Euro seemed to drive it) but 308's in general are all still undervalued at least by many of us here. I think a lot of 308 owners have been waiting a long time to see their cars finally go up in value. Both previous owners of my cars sold them for less than they paid 17 and 25 years ago. I think last year was the 1st time in a long time that some nice low mileage or fully restored 308's started selling for over $100k. The market seems to have cooled off since Jan and a lot of cars are sitting longer waiting to find the right new owner. The last few years dealers started showing 308's more love. This year I see them discounting them and they still don't seem to sell. To me it's nice to see 308's go up but if they drop to half the value they are now I'm still happy with my decision to buy them. I wish I had the space for more.
Whether my car is worth more or less than the money I have in it I consider it money well spent in terms of how much fun it is.
Exactly! People who look for financial logic when it comes to cars are not true petrolheads! I once tried to calculate the amount I've spent on cars over the years - When it got to the equivalent of a very nice house in the Countryside I decided to stop and just remember the fun I'd had with the cars instead!
