I like it too. However, I can't imagine Mercedes not winning, as long as they're in front. No one will be able to overtake, so they'll be able to take it easy through the tight bits looking after their tyres, and who's going to catch them down the straight?
+1 I suspect sitting on the floor ala Coulthard may get someone in a little trouble, but dunno what "rules" apply to such aircraft (?) Sure beats the hell out of a crowded 737 though! Cheers, Ian
When you guys see the 'Gun Check-In' and metal detectors at the doors to the club's, I want to know what you think. When I was there the first time, I saw some very nice hardware on the Check-In Racks.
I'm trying to remember where I first saw such a sign; Texas, maybe? Coming from the UK (*no* guns at all!) it kind of spooked me! Cheers, Ian
It is a very different track. No doubt. It could be just one really crazy race. I think practice will be a good indicator because I don't think the teams have the luxury of messing around too much. I think they'll have to work towards real race pace since there's no data.
Texas was probably joking. Baku was not. There were 20 to 30 guns on the rack per club when I was there. Made me feel nice and safe.
Holy crap! Coming from the UK, where guns are basically completely outlawed (even the cops need "special dispensation") that completely blows me away! Wow, just wow! Cheers, Ian
Coulthard in economy class on Air Rosberg. Seems he's even had some sort of in-flight entertainment role: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wfTVfNYtoQ
That's a little alarming! Again, "young guys having fun". What a great life! Get paid shed loads to drive the best cars in the world! Fly around on private jets! Fabulous stuff! Cheers, Ian PS - Just check the guns at the door.
Meanwhile on the GVI that landed before them was Ham and Vettel. lol Btw, That's a little freaky of Coulthard.
We had some guy when I was in Bosnia do this every single day at the same time-- hence "5 O'Clock Charlie." ("7 O'Clock Charlie" in summer). His house was about 200, not more than 300 meters from our Tactical Operations Center (TOC). We could set our watches by him, and did! He expended THOUSANDS of rounds over the nine months I was there. How many he shot before we got there and after we left is anyone's guess. New Years thou, was something completely OUTTA THIS WORLD.
